Has anyone heard of possible Dual cancelations for this weekend due to the predicted winter storm coming in this weekend. I heard KHSAA is on standby to cancel the States Football Championships on Friday in BG. A final decision is to be made by 1000 tomorrow morning. Will they also announce this for the Duals or will it be up to the individual hosting schools themselves.

At this point, the schedule remains the
same, and the Class 1A (11 a.m.) and 3A (3 p.m.) games, scheduled for
Friday, December 6 will be played as planned.
No later than 10:00
a.m. ET on Friday, December 6, a final determination will be made for
the Class 6A (7 p.m.) and subsequent games and announced through all
available means. As of 9:30 a.m. on 12/5, the games WILL BE PLAYED AS
SCHEDULED, but this is subject to change based on changing conditions.

The KHSAA and its member institutions as well as everyone involved in
the hosting of these games urge all involved to make carefully
considered decisions regarding attendance at the games and to exercise
caution. Leaving earlier than perhaps originally planned, and having
contingency plans in the event of problems are all part of any travel
and any event, but should be emphasized especially with this event.

not sure where you heard that the KHSAA was going to CANCEL the State Champs. That above is direct from the KHSAA website. The only game(s) in question are 6A and Saturday's games, and those games will be played more than likely, just later.

Got it.  It was a no brainer they would be rescheduled if postponed. Question was how is this going to affect all the Duals across Kentucky for this weekend. Is it up to KHSAA or the individual schools to allow them to proceed.

individual schools. in 2010 when State Duals got canceled there were still 2-3 tournaments (including Middle School State Duals) that went on as planned. If the school district says "go" and the teams can get there, the show will go on!
