The roads are clear. Talk about over react. Only in our state do we cancel over a little snow.

It's all about liability.  Fact is, JCPS and Fayette Co. and Boone Co. cancelled Sat. travel yesterday afternoon.  That eliminated 2/3 of the teams.  OH got it worse than we did.  We had no other option.

YOUR roads are clear, but that doesn't mean everyone's roads are clear.  Some teams have a long way to travel and could be coming from areas that were hit much harder, or don't have the ability to get dug out as fast. Some may have been planning on travel last night.   No event is worth driving in potentially dangerous conditions.  

And it's not just KY that cancels events in the interest of safety.

All I know is there is wrestling going on in the greater Cincinnati area.

I think some went ahead and made the call early so that it was not a last min. decision and there would be less confusion. I even saw that Campbellsville college got around Lexington going to a tournament in Ohio, and they turned around and went home. Always better to error on the side of caution when it comes to safety.

I agree. I love sport and I love compitition, but there's no sense in putting the kids and coaches in harms way for a wrestling match. In the grand scheme of things and looking at the big picture, I'd rather have my child safe. When in doubt err on the side of caution.

agreed ... I drove last night and the roads were very very bad.. and I live in Burlington which isn't to far from Walton and there were roads at 9 30 am this morning that were very unsafe to drive on yes even some main roads. In other words if they had school today *(Sat) they would have been called off
