This weekend. CC has attended this in the past, won it last yr. in a tight team race. A sprinkling of wrestlers to watch from Ohio (we know who the CC hammers are). 

106: Jagel, (Middletown), possible top six at state

152: Leneave (Fairfield), decent shot to qualify for state

160: Smith (Colerain), should place 6-8 at state

170: Williams (Sycamore) don't see state potential

182: Traub (Sycamore) see above

195: Scales (Colerain), should be top four in state this year

220: Nye (Springfield), Bere (Sycamore), both have potential to place at state in shallow talent pool. 220 has been weak. I believe Bere had some issue before state or district and did not go to state meet. 

I do not know the full list of teams, these are a few guys that have been mentioned as top 16 guys statewide in their division. Fairfield has a good reputation running tournaments. Nice gym for wrestling. Good luck to all!

I agree. 220 has always been a weak class. It simply doesnt have any depth and no representation in college. In college they must choose 195 or heavy.

C'mon, wildcat. Don't go there. I am referring to Ohio. And, no 220 (old 215) has not always been weak, though traditionally the upper weights are weaker in terms of depth. It is more of a numbers thing though. I would love to see NCAA add a weight class between 97 and HWT.

Freuhauf beats a non ranked wrestler 7-2 this last weekend , some national ranking home state bias going on at intermat but it's all good .

There should be a class between 197 and 285 but it is what it is .
