wasn't Fausz on there?
Shows how far KY wrestling has come. A few years ago we were celebrating one honorable mention. Now we have 4 and a strong case can be made for several more!!!
And ATM should be rated higher!
And ATM should be rated higher!
I agree!
Saw a #1 220 from ok lose a match earlier this yr and drop out of top ten saw a #5 from Ohio lose to an unranked and drop to only 10 , it all depends on who does the rankings and whatever they choose to make important for their rankings at that time or what area the ranker is partial to .
Not many HS jrs in the country are undefeated with national titles I would bet , but should he lose i suspect he would fall much further down than say an Ohio wrestler with much less cred or off season nat tourny success , best to stay undefeated .
Without an ounce of bias I think ATM could beat the #1 220 Nash ,
Also think Brock should be a few higher as high as 2 top 4 for sure .
No reason Boston could not be 1 . Once again the prestige of the state comes into play or the proximity of the ranker perhaps .
Either way good showings by the Ky kids , being on intermat and not from a more "popular " wrestling state like Ohio Pa Cal is a great accomplishment ,
Time to go hunting for the 1 spot .
Congrats to all. No Fausz?
Congrats to all. No Fausz?
Hasn't he lost to some non-ranked kids?
And ATM should be rated higher!
He'd be one lower if Kyle Snyder was competing his senior year though. And the second ranked kid, Dobzanski, is headed to UoL to play baseball.
That's the greatest part of this sport--ATM will have plenty of chances to show he's the best.

I'm impressed with ATM. He's got plenty of upside with his skill set. Has he wrestled any of the higher ranked kids? Jordan Wood who is number five from Pa is only a sophomore. I've seen Wood wrestle and he's amazing. ATM will be 1 or 2 next year, which is superb.
He has beaten the next three behind him on intermat wich is more than I would
Bet anyone else on intermat at 220 can say including Wood who has never wrestled Austin ,
if a holes were apples you would still be one ,
I wouldn't be implying anyone could beat Austin other than Snyder and how a soph with losses and less titles gets ranked ahead of ATM is beyond me except of course I know who does the rankings and what states get the padding ,
Ky ain't one of em ,
Like I said he's faced all three kids below him and won , who else at 220 can say that , . Snyders a sr who graduated early a beast .
ATM will be headed for the 1 spot . Regardless of Lowe or any other ranking. When everyone is beaten it will not matter who is ranked where .
Undefeated
Just noticed ,ATM ranked higher in every ranking in the nation than anyone in Ohio ohhhhhhhhhh
I'm sorry, I must be slow tonight, but did you just call me an a hole?He has beaten the next three behind him on intermat wich is more than I would

Snyder is still in high school. After his world title he decided he had nothing to prove so he's doing his senior year at the OTC. Just saw he'll be in the Dapper Dan though and he's headed to be a Buckeye.

As he most deservedly should be!
Yeah i saw wood wrestle Thornberry from moe , he should not be ranked ahead of Austin on that kind of performance .
Didn't look amazing to me at super 32 .
I guess if you can ditch HS and go wrestle at the OTC you woud be good and have a great advantage on most , but regular folk like Austin who plays football cannot even do super 32 .
Your like the rest of the Ohio holes can't drop a home state kids name so drop someone coming to OSU lol
All of your comments are compliments covering knocks .

Aaahh, Mpire, is that you? I'm a straight shooter and will say what I think. I won't disguise anything. Is ATM the greatest wrestler ever? No. But he's not done yet. Kyle Snyder is a world champion. I bet ATM would give him all he could handle and then some. Would love to see ATM hang up the cleats. Just sayin.
Jordan Wood took runner up at Flo on one leg.....as a 14 year old at 220. Pa is on another level entirely and he'll get the benefit of that.
Flo is not the end of the world didn't know wood had only one leg I guess he is good but I just watched him wrestle some more matches , again he should
Not be ranked higher Sony care where he's from
Not sure how Austin would do with Snyder but he has beaten a few in the top ten . And no one should get free spots for where tey are from Austin is from Ohio now ky wrestles in both and is an undefeated 2x state and NHSCA nat champ , no need for Benifit of any state when you are going Undefeated every yr in two nat tournys ,
Again with the name
Dropping , I recall Snuder losing to Cox not long ago even he loses . Cox is the best I have seen at 220 in person devesatingly fast I doubt Austin could beat him but he would have shut his offense down just like wood or the rest would not shoot at will on Austin he has better d than any I have seen , and is a different animal week by week. When I say I think he would beat the #1 it's without bias. Lowe has overlooked him for long enough now he will leave no ? He will beat everyone next yr
Can anyone post some links to videos of these guys wrestling? I searched youtube and flowrestling and only found one of atm and a few of Fausz.
Can anyone post some links to videos of these guys wrestling? I searched youtube and flowrestling and only found one of atm and a few of Fausz.
Jordan Wood gets a lot of respect for being so young and being in Pennsylvania. Maybe he is overrated. This link shows him losing, but watch his explosiveness on his shots. Dare I say he is quick like David Taylor...and only 14!
ATM is a tweener. Can he make 197 in college? If so, watch out because he'll destroy people like Cox is this season. I know he's strong but if he went heavyweight in college he's dealing with the Tony Nelson, Adam Coon types and giving up weight to 6'5" athletes.
Jden Cox is a frosh at Missouri and is ranked very high. He's like a bigger and more explosive Kyle Dake.
Thanks t Reynolds, ill check those out.
Any videos of the ky boys mentioned on here? I've watched some of fausz at fila nationals I think? Can't find many on atm. Of anyone knows where some are, please post a link.
Congrats to all four of these guys!!
It's been an amazing thing to see the improvement throughout our state!
I look forward to seeing the list of our nationally ranked kids grow each year.
Lol David Taylor fast , not hardly ATM has spent a lot of time in a room with Taylor and I have seen him wrestling live and in practice a lot a few yrs back , he's not David Taylor fast or otherwise . good for being young as was ATM and I do not think Wood is 14 at present , if he's David Taylor fast ATM is Hulk strong and has D beyond anyone you have ever seen , , being in PA he surely has a lot to work with , Austin is a well travelled wrestler as a youth and he high kid he had as good or better coaches and partners than anyone in PA at prodigy , Root , Lowe , and Ware , Hasewinkel for a shirt while , he has wrestled the beat in Ohio yrs back , and gets a few tough ones in each yr , he can make 97 now doubt he does stays 220 keeps growing and it works he may be shorter if he goes heavy He is and will be stronger than most if not all and I did say IS meaning NOW he's straight up Powerful and when he gets in a room with studs he will evolve into something rarely seen his formula works constant improvement his potential is limitless .
In reality, what David Taylor did in high school in Ohio and at the national level along with his success at Penn St, no one from KY is on that level or should be mentioned in the same sentence, just like Dake, Ruth, Steiber Brothers, that's a whole other skill level of wrestler. Period!
Takedownartist,
I disagree with your statement.
Our best deserve to be compared to the best, and someday after their college careers are over may be the ones getting compared to...... Period.
I can't see how anyone could discount the accomplishments of Boston alone. I could easily say the same for ATM. What more in your opinion would he have to do to compare to their careers at the same point (prior to college)?
Well we can look at Zahid Valencia, who has dominated that national scene since his freshman year, hasn't always won it but his face has been out there and is well respected.
Chance Marstellar is a living breathing high school legend like his mentor Cary Kolat. He has not lost a single high school match his whole career despite seeking out the best at his weight time and again, he will probably major Bo Nickal when they wrestle at Dapper Dan.
As has been said earlier, Kyle Snyder has not only beaten the best in the nation but has also topped the best in the world. Yes he did lose a classic match to Cox, but Cox is 3rd in the nation as a true freshman and could easily win it this year.
Boston competing at the national level helps his case a lot, and if he wins at the Dapper Dan that will give him a lot of hype going into his college career. But to be considered some of the P4P best in the nation you have to literally live at the national tournaments like Valencia, Joey McKenna, Nick Nevills, Chance Marstellar, and company.
By national tournaments I'm talking about Ironman, Super32, Powerade, Cheesehead, Flo, Fargo, Dapper Dan (if invited of course), Beast of the East, and... well that about covers the premier events but there are lots of other insanely good tournaments such as Senior Nationals and whatever Clovis calls their tourney.
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Boston already win Flo, won the newly created best of the best in the longest H.S. match in history, and has been invited to Dapper Dan. I think you could legitimately compare his HS career.
I was not comparing Austin to Taylor or their speeds I was actually replying to someone's post on another thread comparing a 220 from pa speed to Taylor's wich I did not agree with .
Takedown artist - didnt David Taylor lose in HS , and ATM did well in Ohio when there he dominated jr high same as taylor beating eveeyone since the sixth grade rather easily and every HS wrestler he has faced from there he has beaten as well as for close matches he has had a couple he started the the yr last yr with a sprained ankle from foitball and had a couple
Close ones that against kida he wrestled later in the year and majored , same as this yr no need to explain everyone who knows him knows when he's beat up and undefeated us undefeated be it a tech a pin or a 1 point win .
Not saying Austin is David Taylor but David Taylor is not Austin either my friend I was not or did not imply that but I'm not sure I like your post seems you may be short changing a kid who not only is a multiple x state and nat champ but a two sport athlete as well , funny all the Taylor talk DT lost to a wrestler from the school that seems to be interested in Austin the most at the moment . DT a good guy a one of a kind don't dare name
Drop someone to bash ATM he might surprise you in just how good he really is or ends up
Re reading your post I' have to disagree Austin at this point has done as much as anyone you mentioned and beaten all your so highly regarded Ohio wrestlers , he was a two x Ohio jr high champ and only the second kid from Cincy area to be a jr high ow winner his brother being the first , he also was a runner up as a sixth grader to Jordan who did not even wrestle at jr high state as a sixth grader , you done ; ))/ up I know a bit about Ohio history pal , ATM made the biggest weight jump in Ohio jr high history from ur to yr and remained undefeated and who from Ohio has won fresh nat an ow there and soph nat ,
Yes he can be considered their level or better at this stage of the game , most you mentioned had all lost by now at Austin's stage of the game take your bias back across the river .
Boston and Brock are that level as well Boston ranked 1 in some rankings and Brocks a legend ,
Austin wrestled with and was coached by Matt Koz a three time iron man winner for a couple yrs one of OHIOs greatest he would laugh at you ,
Funny you should
Mention Dake takedown artist Cornell's new coach Austin's new pen pal hahahahaha your an idiot
Yes Boston won Flo and was invited to Dapper Dan which I mentioned. But my point is that is not enough, Boston needs to compete even more, win Fargo and win at Dapper Dan. Then win in college
ATM's in-state career is extremely impressive and anyone who denies that are just fooling themselves. Ohio is very elitist and likes to think their kids and way of life are better then anyone else's, for all lovely Ohioans that I know I apologize for the sweeping generalization but I'm trying to make a point. He is ranked very highly right now based on the strength of his Ohio and Kentucky dominance and off of the national recognition of his pure overall talent. But he needs more national tourney exposure of the type of tournaments I mentioned in order to be placed in a Kyle Snyder/Chance Marstellar level
Lol he has simply done everything humanly possible you are wrong , Snyder and chance do not play football as Austin Does and now it goes from elite Ohio kida to elite national kida chance and Snyder nice comparisons I'm sure ATM is flattered but look up his huddle highlight page hes actually living a good life doing well in one sport and perfect in another .
You name
Drop the two best wrestlers in the country both srs trying to knock ATM and what he does lol you only make him that much more impressive , as for TE Ohio legends palmers lost Jordan lost and many more lost in HS , and Austin's team wrestles more in Ohio than ky and he wrestled at the same tourny as graham and a kid ranked ahead of him overall in the country and guess who walked away The ow arm pinning everyone there in the first period two yea in a row no Obio kid has ever done that ther NONE , when he's on hea every but as good as the best ever Ohio wrestlers , as for Snyder and chance well ATM splits his efforts and I have no doubt if he had focused 100 % on wrestling his whole life they would not be mentioned above him .
Doubt ATM stays undefeated , odds are against it he does not run then again I dont see him losing either lol . Brock Boston or any of the other greats in ky except Stephen never played ball either ,
Unless you consider Bryant or Jude their level and they were not . Jude a great ball player loved his films .
Funny does Bo or Mick Jordan wrestle Fargo ??? Many kids do not and they don't have the excuse of multiple sports .
For what it's worth. I think Nickel might surprise you. At any rate it's a good debate. I think the national exposure is valuable but not everything. It's a regular debate here in Michigan as well. Possibly the best wrestler in Michigan doesn't wrestle nationals much if at all. Also for those that think ATM should hang up the cleats I disagree. There was a cleat wearer that beat a guy named Ruth that you might have heard of at the Southern Scuffle.
I am of the party that criticizes the Jordans for not wrestling at Fargo. You could make a case that they dodge anyone who could challenge the "Jordan Mystique." However Isaac is doing very well for Wisconsin right now so there is at least something to the myth. I am not knocking ATM, I just want to see him wrestle nationally more to show off how good he is.
That is not enough in your comment about Boston , pretty ballsy i say it's plenty you don't have to even mess with Fargo to be top dog , not sure ATM can take charge in Fargo not wrestling fr and gr for a few yrs and KY not being the hotbed of the world in fr gr wrestling but to quite someone else it is his skill set , so if he wins four by his sr yr then wins two titles in Fargo would that be enough or must he win four state four nationals reason undefeated and win Fargo doing something NO ONE HAS done in the sport , would that be enough , oh yeah I all throw in a few sacks and a td for good measure .
You kill me , what's next who's name gets name
Dropped next.
I have high standards for my elite wrestlers, winning two titles at Fargo would give ATM elite status yes. You don't have to wrestle at Fargo to be elite but it's pretty damn important. If you wanted me to name :"elite" wrestlers in high school right now I would give you
Chance Marstellar
Kyle Snyder
Bryce Brill
Bo Nickal
maybe Nick Nevills
Guys like ATM and Mark Hall are the same talentwise as that bunch, I just want them to flesh out their resumes.
If anyone is curious which recruiting rankings I favor I use d1collegewrestling's, but Earl would be the first to admit he makes mistakes and likes to do "rewinds" of old classes to see how well he ranked the seniors
I think all those guys are srs lol Austin is a jr and I never know what grade Mark is in all I know is he has wrestled a long time and is still in grade school or something
Well ya I made sure to include only seniors. ATM, depending on how much he can do in the summer with football, could end up in the top 10 for recruiting next year. Mark Hall should be.... uh I think he's a junior next year, it gets confusing.
I actually think he's not a jr , I love mark but yeah I don't know what grade he's in or state or how old he is .
It's all good Austin will probably go to a good school , and that's the goal all the undefeated and stuff is icing four was his goal and I think he gets em , if he's not running the ball
Next yr he probably doesnt play football .
Who is looking at him right now? I could direct you towards a good coaching staff, we don't want him ending up at my beloved Indiana with Pat DeGain gone, they'd probably make ATM cut to 165 or something else crazy
A nice assortment , Have to say Iowa State and Cornell pretty hard . Lindsey Wilson in Ky is a bit interested as well .
I love Coach Jackson but Cornell's staff is one of the best in D1
Yes I heard some stuff about coach Jackson being arrogant / made me
Like him all the more if your arrogant about your team that means your pushing them what else could one think , saw some of his interviews seems very focused and intent on having a great program , awesome and he's a bigger guy wich makes me think he may have a soft spot for having good big boys .
And Cornell is Cornell pretty impressive program . Austin will choose he will base it off of where he thinks he can improve the most coaches partners traiing program are important to him and the big ? Will be what weight he goes .
Lindsey-Wilson is doing incredible things. It really looks like they are taking it to the next level. Still they are an entirely different school than Cornell...both on the mat and the academic prestige. Coach Koll has done well with the higher weights too. Cam Simaz and now Gabe Dean. At Cornell you can win a national title as an individual and as a team, too, plus get an Ivy League education. Ivy schools don't give athletic scholarships though. I'd love to know how they get all these great wrestlers to go there. How do they pay for school if not on a wrestling scholarship? Cornell costs about $50K/year.

ATM doesn't need me to defend him. Tarzan seems quite capable of doing that.
I will say that the kid has never lost in high school and won the NHSCA tournament twice. Wth else does he have to prove!?
And why doesn't Campbell County dual with Moe? Frueauf would be ATMs best match and push him as much as anyone could. Have they wrestled before?

They are some of the highest endowed institutions in the world. As long as you have the gpa and a high 28+ act score, they can be cheaper than most other schools. No redshirts in Ivy league either.

Can't speak on the dual portion
But I pride myself on being demanding of wrestlers. You can't find anywhere on this site where I have said ATM is not a great wrestler, but I want more from him.
In regards to Mr. Myers, Coach Jackson is excellent but trying to rebuild a program after it is gutted (by Cael Sanderson) is a tall order. Coach Koll has proven time and again where he stands among college coaches and it is really hard to go wrong with his stuff. I think Pat DeGain is at Virginia but I will say with strong confidence that no matter where he is Coach DeGain is the best heavyweight coach in the nation

Pat DeGain is a GREAT coach!
Old story Moe doesn't invite CC to their super duals and Swowca knocked CC from first on the entry list to seventh when the boys came to CC Swowca is a tournament ran by Moeller or should i say one of their coaches old ladies hahaha
They don't want to see ATM on the mat Freauhauf has done nothing this yr just got pinned by the seventh or eight ranked kid in Ohio D1 ATM majored OHIOs #3 d1 220 12-2 and pretty much had him stuck twice the same
Kid was OHIOs D1 1 for a while and had pinned every kid he wrestled in Ohio untill he ran into Austin a sr d1 recruit headed to Kent state .
The Ohio debate is over , Freauhauf is older than Austin and has always been at a higher weight , ATM has always outdone him and everyone else in Cincy they both went to Tulsa ATM came back a champ freuhauf with air , they both went to fr gr state as cadets Austin a first yr Freauhauf a second at different weights but arm wins both and Freauhauf did not make top two couldn't go to Fargo same as all the now kids they have up on Fargo then and while ATM hasn't went since his first yr cadet I think he may try and double this yr , not sure I have been counseled not to send him because of foitball and he hasn't wrestled those styles and it would
Be a nearly impossible task for him to remain unbeaten , it's never really been about that it's about winning four and getting better , a shit at being KYs first ever true doubler and equalling his brother is what it's about to him .of course it warrants a trip to the OTC first
As a wrestling fan I want to see ATM quit football and commit everything towards wrestling. Fargo is the gold standard and any football coach who thinks it hurts him as a football player is just not informed. He could make 195 for Fargo and really piss off the ball coach!!
No the coach would be happy if he made 195 and stayed home !!and focused on football , you hit the nail his coach did not even want him wrestling for team ky saying it wasn't a school sponsored event and he needed to focus on football and be a team player if he wanted to play , my reply was it was off season and not required and many baseball players do not train with the football team in off season , of course I got the whole I do t care about Fargo it's not a school sport , of course my reply about the team KY stuff was that The awards handed out to coaches for their success at the team nat duals were in fact sponsored by the khsaa and the letters the kids receiver Are from khsaa.the whole wrestling is individual sport blah blah stuff that is expected from someone who went to a school without wrestling to begin with .
They just do not get it if a kid even makes it to Fargo chances are hes doing more than any kid on a football team to improve himself physically , it's mind boggling but It's their team their call . I'm sure with more encouragement from his football team he would have probably went last yr , people ask a state champ or national champ who plays two sports wich is he better at well there is no comparrison for someone like him he can test himself against the best in wrestling not in football , as for wich he likes best he keeps it to himself but it's probably obvious now where as before all the negative football feedback it wasn't , wrestling coaches seem more out to work with football players than vice versa , as for conditioning and weight training forget it no use arguing with them they brought a weight training program from highlands and it's on par with anything ATM does according to them , they should actually ask him he has been trained by some pretty good power lifters and trainers who work with world class athletes , it's all good no hard feelings they are stuck in their ways or do what they do for whatever reason . As for Fargo as I said some of the best do not go Jeff Jordan told
Me he liked his kids focusing strictly on folkstyle too much variance in the sports and fr gr is always changing stuff up , I agree on that point it's different every year not really the best way to judge how good a wrestler is or will be in college or HS
You guys are clowns. By downplaying Austin Meyers, you are in fact saying Kentucky wrestling is a small pond. Meyers has beat the best Ohio has thrown at him, and if you goofballs think for one second Kentucky is even close to Ohio you're stoned. The mere fact that you have to dig into National ranked big names and guys like Bo Jordan to compare Meyers to speaks volumes about Meyers.
State for State, Kentucky would get STOMPED at the Ohio State tourney. Kentucky at present has at the most 3 kids that could compete at State level in Ohio, and two of them wrestle for Campbell County. In fact, Fauz just got his rear end handed to him by two freshman... who aren't even ranked that high in Ohio.
Bottom line, all your crap talking only shows that you have NOBODY even close to Meyers, as evidenced by all the cowards that have been giving him forfiets as of late. Get over yourselves. You're of no consequence on the big stage... unlike Meyers. Until you put somebody up there to even compete with him, just nod and accept the fact that he's a level above you or anybody you have. It's a shame anyone would have to defend a wrestler wiyh a perfect record and ranked higher than ANY Kentucky wrestler. And if you try to say Mark Hall, you're grasping for straws and you're an idiot. Be proud of the kid. He's the only thing keeping Kentucky wrestling relevant.
Bottom line: Austin is a great wrestler regardless of where he wrestles. He will became even better next year.
Why we have people trying to downgrade what he has accomplished is not acting in the best interest of this high school wrestler. That is what we must remember here. Austin is an outstanding kid and wrestler.
Those of you who don't like what Tarzan,Mpire (or whatever name) says then don't read it. And definately don't respond to it or try to goad him.
It is kind of rediculus that those of us who try to keep this site somewhat civil have to monitor you like babysitters, by deleting, hiding posts. There seem to be a few of you that continue to want to start arguements with others on here.
Once again. If you don't like or agree with what someone on here has to say then don't read it or respond to it.
I know all your arguements on why you do it, but I personally don't care.
The one thing that I find deplorable on here is that some of you have started degrading a high school kid in your retaliation against someone you don't like. These actions must stop. The wrestler or wrestlers mentioned have not done anything to deserve this treatment.
I don't speak for the entire monitoring staff, but I would be in full agreement that if this continues then everyone who continues to participate in downgrading high school kids be removed from this site indefinately.
stalling,
The last sentence of your post was an insult to many kids. Exactly what you were criticizing others for doing. While Austin is an elite talent he is NOT the only thing keeping kentucky wrestling relevant. Have you heard of Boston, Blackwell, or maybe a family of Ervin's who have been kinda well known around the country for a few years?? Kentucky has plenty of wrestlers to be proud of and yes Austin is no doubt one of them but not the only thing keeping kentucky wrestling relevant. Good luck to ALL of our young men as they enter the post season tourney!!!
Stalling obviously had no idea what my point was nor who I am nor my beliefs on the state of Kentucky wrestling. A wise man doesn't get between a fool and his folly, I just request that you don't attack my knowledge of wrestling because it makes you look like an idiot.
Not so sure , you seem to keep saying you want more from someone who has done everything he possibly can and more than anyone else mentioned from Ky , not blasting anyone - ?who has done more at his point in the game while competing in two sports . Answer - no one !!!
Let's go back and look at the thread , intermat rankings then ? About Fausz by people who know the sport and know he got knocked of for having a bad day in an attempt to knock KY , then you have someone say ATM would be one lower if , perhaps not meant as a knock and perhaps taken wrong but still a knock at a ky kid some would think and ifs ands or butts everyone has one .
Then the open haters started in , a couple
Positive posts by real ky fans then the instigators like Otto who has always taken digs at Sam and ATM and then the rest , no big deal. Irving worth really getting ticked at but comments about kids not being able to do whatever at the next level and straight up hate stuff should. It be tolerated , it's one thing to brag or give results and facts another to predict someone's future in a negative light , Austin's golden untouchable by haters who claim his brother was hindered by myself but in fact was only hindered by haters and people nit ready for a wrestler like himself .
ATM will enter the state tournament undefeated and I think he leaves undefeated .
Should he lose I hope people do not heap the teams loss on him as they did his brother very disrespectful by those around him , easy to blame on misinterpretation by the press but blaming someone who helps win you a state title on losing one the next yr is classless
You seem to be grouping me with the people who bash ATM. I consider him Kentucky's best alongside Brock Ervin and Nathan Boston. I do want more national exposure for him because I enjoy seeing Kentucky kids crush people. Talentwise he is among the elite in the nation and you can't find anything I say to the contrary, I still want more though. I said the same thing about Bo Jordan
Yeah Bo could have went to Fargo no excuses other than he doesn't wrestle fr gr wich was fine , Bo also missed some tournys his fresh yr , he and Martinez were both injured ? At iron man his fresh yr !
And you want more as in what super 32 duiring football season or Fargo duiring football preseason , I'm sure a lot would like to see Austin try even with football knowing he could not be his best or hoping he would lose in a style rarely wrestled in ky wich has had horrible showings at Fargo no ky knock just fact not even one double AA in the states history other than a transfer Sam . I feel he should go just to be the states first doubler , they are the toughest wrestlers on the planet .
When everyone graduates college after yea of wrestling not many will
Be able to say yeah remember that year I won a state wrestling title and played in the playoffs maybe made a td or got a sack - but Stephen and Austin will , memories and not imposing just one sport on a kid as so many do . Now as a sr it's hard to say being in my with not a ton of off season wrestling football is a wise choice to stay in shape
I think he is among the best, just not the only athlete to talk about.
Then talk about whoever you like and keep you negative crap to yourself , for one your intent is obvious for another you look like an idiot bashing studs .
Intermat rankings as of feb 5 .
Nathan Boston 120 #2 Sr Woodford County
Trae Blackwell 126 #18 Sr Union County
Brock Ervin 132. # 7 Sr Union County
Austin T Myers. 220. # 6 Jr Campbell County
Looks like all the ranked kids were talked about to me
then the instigators like Otto
Enough with the man crush already. We get it.
The instigator speaks ,still wondering what brings such an obvious buckeye fan to constantly comment on some former buckeye wrestlers lol
Some see you for what you are and some see me for what I truly am the difference I am actually seen while you and some hide behind your user names
Wasn't Otto the heavyweight at Thompson High and Louden Swain's teammate? You know the one who couldn't climb the pegboard.
"Even Otto can't do that."
I'll say it again.... RELEVENT. Not of years gone by. For those of you making a weak attempt at insulting me... keep in mind I'm calling out the clowns making lame comments about a kid like Myers... or any other kid. I could give a squirt about what tourney any fool thinks a kid has to win to be 'one of the greats' in their eyes. A little full of yourselves, aren't you? There is no set formula for a combination of tourneys a kid 'must' win to be a great. Got a problem with Myers not going to Ironman? Take it up with his Coach fellahs. He has to get Myers in Ironman. I can PROMISE you Myers isn't afraid to lace 'em up with anybody. But you clowns that try to downplay him just keep doing what you're doing. I don't care who you are, what you think you know, or how you feel about his dad (who is actually a very good guy that doesn't happen to fit your idea)... Myers will come out on top in spite of your badmouthing efforts. I'm done. Carry on with your badmouthing a kid while everybody forfiets to him out of fear. How many forfiets has he had lately, anyhow?
Not many big guys can climb that peg board .- but some can
Stalling I sometimes feel as if you and I are reading two completely different things
Otto that home state bias is biting ole Bucksman in the arse particularly at 220 it's only two ranked wrestlers there get a chance to wrestle and big moe throws in a backup to protect their state hopeful and avoid two losses in as many weeks ,
All the Ohio posters saying how ATM could not hang amongst their best when he has always been at the very top from day one is laughable seems he's not the one who runs but they run from one another , MOE wrestles marysville and the two top 220 do not meet up but both wrestle that day omg what cowardly hypocrites , and as for all the haters who blasted Sam and ATM for
Leaving Montgomery rd seems the titanic over there has sunk , still my boys would have went down with the ship it was never my choice to leave , good luck to all those good Moeller boys. I always cared for them all despite those who controlled their lives.tell them all to enjoy their crow
Now it's time for the KY state tourny a look at CC leaves me to believe that it is still very much in the hunt even after a dismall state dual showing , two very possible champs , and two other possibles in Turner and Mathews and a lightweight that could have a good day and snatch a title as well five big upper placers there and three others that could be anywhere on the board from finals to eighth place or below --
The Moe folks have been saying "Wait 'til 2014" for a couple of yrs. they didn't account for Brecksville and Perry. I love what Riggs has done with Perry. In the grand scheme, the loss to Brecks wasn't as bad as some make it out to be. This is a special Brecks team. If I had to make a guess, I would say the Moe hammers are burnt out. The school and specifically the upperweights, are among the best in the nation in both football and wrestling. The team went back-to-back in football and these boys placed high at state. Very little down time. For the sake of Ohio wrestling I hope they can pull it together in time for state. I am not holding my breath. I love the state duals tournament. Crowning a true TEAM champ. This will help promote the sport as well.
Football is hardly an excuse for how poorly they have performed this yr or the last three actually , I know this group I know how good they were and who trained them as jr high kids for the most part , the upper weights slid after a couple yrs away from who made them as tough as they were ,most came
From Prodigy the best the state champs Sisemore Freauhauf , Thornberry Rosser , we're all jr high champs and while those already with Moe were given the same accolades their fresh yr they were not on level with the prodigy kids .
Rosser and Sisemore were partners to my own favorite wrestlers for yrs all studs for ther work together honestly pushed by SAM the most he was on a higher level than all of them they followed him as he followed the older Produgy studs Shivener Walker , anyway my beef is how much abuse the moe fans gave Sam and ATM when they left or did not go "nothing to do with myself I did not take them out nor would I but I think they avoided the eventual calamity of failure there "constant posts by Ohio / Moeller fans claiming they would disappear or amount to nothing and constant claims this yr and last how ATM could not hang with OHIOs or Moes best ,
Now replaced with tears of burnout from football ,
How pathetic they simply cut each ithers throats over there it's like the roman senate of old the coaches scheme on each other dad coaches who have only cared for their own kids and parents who clique together and make plans better left to coaches without bias ,
So comes to pass the greatest chance SW Ohio ever had to win a state title with cries if greatness to come from four or five yrs ago replaced with well we had a great football run and a couple teams are tough , how many jr high champs are on that team , more than brecksville has I would
Wager and marysville and eds , they did not come close to their own arrogant boasts of greatness as I noticed when my son was a fresh there their sr best sit around on their past accomplishments and do not lead the younger up and comers a flaw that is unforgivable and leads teams to lower and lower standards ,
I saw this flaw long ago and knowing the types of people involved knew it would backfire , kids starting fights with teammates to get them suspended to take their spots in meaningless tournys like GCL to have bragging rights , payed refs to ref Wrestle offs who come in and hug a certain coaches son before a wrestle off and tells him good luck while his opponent gets not a nod lol still the same Moeller . When my boys were there if you could actually win your spot over a coaches kid the coach would change the rules to whoever had been on the team longest got the spot lol , no wonder they failed , they will not win a state title and I have to say none of those who so hypocritically blasted Sam myself or ATM these past few yrs have not seen their own kids do anywhere near as well despite the hype of a blown up tough schedule ,
Shouts of you ran replaced with running of their own and we are burnt out ,
The fact is had ATM been welcomed there instead of always shunned even when his brother was breaking and setting all their underclassmen records Moeller would have finally had the one thing they have been missing an athlete that is 110 percent dedicated win or lose , ATM would wrestle there and spend hea practicing when everyone else was done in their room while people watched he would practice throws standups shadow wrestling and grab partners as he could to drill with , that's why they and everyone feared him they knew he out worked them all , and they have had the nerve to blast him for the last few yrs , shameful and shameful of you and your comments the last few yrs ,
I was actually stunned to hear Moeller ran their state champ from a decent marysville kid who would not last a match with ATM this last week ,
But hey they won some state football titles.
