I would like to make everyoneaware of the dates & locations for the 2014 Belt Series.  We have been working to improve this tournament series and have made changes. The dates & locations are as follows:

The KWOA Spring Classic Tournament on March 8 will also feature a women's tournament as well.

The tournament times & formats will be the same for each tournament.  The criteria for the Belt Series has been simplified as well.  I will serve as the tournament director for all 3 tournaments and will be available at all events.

Don't enter expecting to win the belt.  Enter for the competition only. 

Too many coaches try to manipulate the event in order for their kid to win the belt.  My son lost out last year because they allowed a 2 man bracket to wrestle 3 times in order to get more pins.  My son had a 3 man bracket and only wrestled twice.  He lost by 1 pin.

I also seen a coach pay for another kids entry fee if he would wrestle up to 98lbs in order for his kid to have this 2 man bracket to win the belt.  Championships are earned not bought!

Hopefully the rules this year are clear cut and not manipulated.

The rules for the Belt Series are much more clear cut this year and will not be manipulated by parents or coaches.
