That is unfortunate since it is the same dates as VA Beach Nationals.

Also same weekend Team Ky is sending 2 teams to the middle school nat duals in Danville

After consideration and looking at the schedule, we will keep the date for the tournament. Unfortunately there was not another open date to move it to. We will look into the planning of next years tournament to try to fit it better with the off season. I wish all of our boys well at Virginia Beach and the middle school duals. I also look forward to the guys that are not going getting in some mat time at the USA Kentucky Folkstyle State tourney. I will be activating the link for track wrestling on Wednesday.

Here is the pre registration link for the tournament.  If you would like to do a remote weigh in let me know.  I will be able to have each site put in their own kids.  It will help with smooth transition on Saturday morning.  Look forward to seeing you.

There will be weigh ins at Central on Thursday night and Friday night. 6:00- 7:30 in wrestling room.

Weigh inns are in virginia beach Thursday . Why would anyone schedule a tournament the same weekend as Nhsca ???

If you have any questions you may call Coach Founder during the day, Coach McCoy is in class.  The whole goal of off season is to get in as much wrestling as possible.  Unfortunately at times that will create some over lapping.  I have been getting lots of interest from Indiana and also some from TN.  Looking forward to giving those who want it the opportunity to get some wrestling in close to home.

Have 125 registered from 5 states.  Perfect day to be in the gym tomorrow.  We are taking walk ins tomorrow.

Good wrestling going on right now at the tournament.  The rain didn't keep them away.  Looking forward to a good afternoon session.  Walk up registration will be from  11-12.  Wrestling is slated to start at 1.

What a joke! We drive two hours to wrestle in a three man bracket. When asked if my son could wrestle in two brackets or if they would combine two three man brackets they don't even consider it. The only option was to get in a couple exhibition matches.

Should have drove about eight hrs more there are some serious brackets in virginia .

people have to understand you always take a chance at low numbers when you go to spring/summer tournaments, especially when national events go one the same weekend. Coaches do there best to promote it and once there, do best to get everyone matches. Coach Founder goes out of this way to put on great tournaments, but numbers are not in his control. I'm just thankful for all the coaches putting on these tournaments now a days. In my days you had bluegrass state games and that was it, unless you when out of state.

It is my fault Coach Founder didn't allow kids to move. As someone who has ran many tournaments for many years, once you allow kids to wrestle in two weights or age groups you run into problems. 1. Everyone wants to do it and than 2. kids back out because they have to wrestle back to back. Central did a great job hosting. Kudos to Coach Founder and his staff.

And T Reynolds. ...enough is enough with the hate. It was an isolated incident.

It was definately a team effort.  Trackwrestling is a great program.  The whole goal was to keep things moving and get kids matches who came.  Thanks again to All those who helped work it and All those who traveled to come.  I enjoy promoting the great sport I love.
