Region 7- Kevin Vasquez (Lafayette )
Exciting finals match is what I believe got him the honor. Imo he was actually pinned at one point, but it is what it is.
Deserving young man, but many others could have been as well. It was a close race.

Hats off to Dylan Grey for region 1 but my vote would have went to ohio co. Hvy Luke Shaffer, beating top ranked Brown in OT was pretty impressive

Yes.
The wrestler who wrestled the best in the eyes of ALL of the attending coaches. I think it becomes a popularity event or way to honor a senior at some events. How come we don't give out Quick pin recognitions at tournaments?
THE MOW of a region should be exactly that the MOW of that region , obviously region tournaments use different criteria than the state tournament .

Mow now a days isnt what it stands for. While it should be the most outstanding and most dominant, lets face it folks its completely in most cases on the kids personal liking. I could give some examples, but ill let you all bite on that first. Lol
