for someone to figure out your favorite moves is one thing, but to flat out tell people what they are is really hilarious! It's like "hey, if i ever wrestle you in a match this is what I'll do to beat you"! lol. just playing guys, but really i think this topic is pretty funny :)

most of these people dont know me and i dont know them and im wrestling 112 so i wont wrestle half of these people.

Do none of you guys hit standups anymore? It's flat out the best move on bottom on any level. It should be everyone's first move on bottom. If you have other moves like a switch, granby, sit out etc., then those can be hit if the standup is stopped. Watch any college competition and the first move will almost always be a standup.

I agree with AllAmericn. A stand up was my best move from the bottom position, and my favorite as well, because there are so many things that can be done from a stand up. A lot of times when I would hit a stand up I would end up with a standing switch, and get two for a reversal. My best neutral move was a high crotch, and my best move from top was something that we called a JJ, basically a chicken wing while your opponent is on his base...it's really complicated to explain, but I'm sure some of you have seen Danville guys using it.

Good call. Too many times have I seen wrestlers stuck on the bottom trying to switch, gramby, etc. Elite wrestlers can usually stop these moves effectively. The standup should be your primary weapon, but not the only, while on the bottom. Like Mr. Phillips said, the standup opens the doors for many other moves. Chain wrestling is key to successful bottom wrestling. For example: If you standup, and the top man bases you back, you are given a prime opportunity to switch. If you don't get the switch you can sit out and turn in. If he follows you you can hit a peterson. Any combination of moves is effective, but you must think 2 or 3 moves ahead.

To sum it up, practice your stand up, and think that nobody can hold you down. If you have a good stand up there may be no need for chain wrestling on the bottom 8)

Ground- Standup/Switch

Neutral- Usually Snapdown to a front headlock

Top- Any Tilt Series

Jhouze: You usually get a front headlock on someone from your feet.?Dont get me wrong.....that is exactly what you want , but I just cant imagine a highschool kid giving someone else a front headlock while both guys are on their feet. If you mean you go to a front headlock off of a missed shot by your opponent You are doing some good stuff there

Or you could just snap them into a front headlock! Have you heard of a club?

True. But all I am saying is that you will never take a stud or really good kids and snap his head down into a front headlock from your feet. You may do that to a kid that is middle of the road maybe.

Refdad I seemed to get into that position alot my senior yr with the top Kentucky kids and some of Cinci's best... it worked sometimes, and then it didnt... If it didnt i would move onto another move... series wrestling

not tellin

neutral-suicide roll

bottom-head pick

top-ball and chain
