Last time I talked to Knox's assistant coach, he told me they only had four signed up. He couldn't remember who they were, and I've not talked to Coach Cullen in a few weeks.

According to track these are the teams. Who knows if they are accurate, take it with a grain of salt.

I figured a few more would get in after sectionals. That's when I talked to their assistant.
Nelson County and North Hardin dropped out. Nelson is apparently taking Doss' spot at State Duals, and North is going to Manual.

How is it that Fern Creek drops out of the State Duals the day before and ends up at Fort Knox the next day?
I don't know, but if you were in Coach Cullen's position, would you pass up on having a team like Fern Creek come to your tournament?
Well the competed in the sectional tournament knowing the top 2 teams qualify for the state duals. If they did not intend to go to the duals, don't compete in the first place. Seems like their first priority should have been state duals.
Because any team that chooses not to participate in sectional duals forfeits their right to compete in the state dual tournament the next year.
