Freshman phenoms

Topic ID: 13310 | 11 Posts

The season is still young, but already some freshmen have made a huge early impression.  While others will certainly join the list as they accumulate more matches, following are the highest-ranked freshmen in Kentucky at this point according to RankWrestlers.com:

  • Chase Yost (Woodford County)
  • Thomas Deck (Madison Central)
  • Micah Ervin (Union County)
  • Colin Stevens (Trigg County)
  • Jake Insko (Appolo)
  • Jakerion Merritt (Christian County)
  • Klemmer Nicodemus (Ohio County)
  • Matthias Ervin (Union County)
  • Cayden Graham (Scott County)
  • Zlatko Skuljan (Hopkinsville)
  • Chase Fink (Anderson County)
  • Seth Lutes (Scott)
  • Noah Kirkman (Owensboro)

Daviess county has a 126 who looks solid with a win over wells from UHA

What happened to Nathaniel Lawrence of  Franklin Co? Niko Bussell of Christian is also off to a great start this season.

How are you going to have a freshman phenom list w/o Nathan Lawrence?

Can't confirm, but heard through the grapevine that he is out for the season with an injury. Hope I heard wrong.

talking to Coach Townsend, he should be wrestling soon, maybe this week

He does not have any matches recorded on TrackWrestling.  The RankWrestlers.com rankings are based on TrackWrestling results.  If he is coming back soon, I am sure he will show up on the rankings as soon as he gets the opportunity to face some good opponents.

Awesome! It has been about a month or so since I had heard anything. Good for him!

He has been full contact this week in practice, He is chomping at the bit to be to get back on the mat.

Knowing Nathan I wouldn't be surprised if there was a literal bit he was chomping. I feel bad for the first person to see him on the mat

He hasn't been idle, his cardio is nuts, never have I been around someone who has the work ethic he has, I'm just floored on his dedication.
