MISSOURI TAKES OUT #16 Central Michigan 24 to 8 at their first dual meet at their regular home gym this year.
AUSTIN MYERS, Alexandria KY over NEWTON SMERCHEK 6 to 2 . A couple of nice tds an escape and nice riding time after a couple high flying returns .
4 more duals all at home for Missouri after a lot of road duals to start the year
#1 Oklahoma State next week .followed by Northern ILL,UNI and SIUE.
Nat duals ,MAC championships.
OK, NatureBoy, let me preface this by saying this is a COMPLIMENT to ATM.
Watching his win at Central Michigan on ESPN3, I can see that having Cox (and other Mizzou bigs) as a workout partner is helping him. He has always had decent shots, however I think working with Cox is helping him learn how to overcome the more sophisticated takedown defenses you see at a high D1 level. I agree, nice TD's against a pretty good wrestler.
Good win for the team and for him personally.
Kid has always been shooter not sure Cox has anything to do with the main problems facing Austin that have to do with wrestling larger opponents with reach advantage although the speed agility and problems that come.with wrestling cox should improve a scrambling game .
