Interesting that heavyweight had both 2011 graduates. Mayes (Missouri) and Pfarr (Minnesota) were great grabs, based on their hs ranking. Mayes is jacked btw. Seems like a great kid, too.
MAYES IS A VERY FUN LOVING PERSON ,Austins roomate this past weekend I have never seen another wrestler like him no matter the situation he is laughing and smiling usually hes a carefree yet driven person .
Tried to pull up the article couldnt do it I guess but yes as the weights go up the kids get older 2 AAs at heavy graduated 2011 one a sr one a soph !!6 returning AAs next yr at heavy I soph and 2 srs rs this yr inj that will make a big impact .very very tough to make any noise at the NCAA championship level at heavy.
Shows how much high school rankings matter. They serve as a kind of gauge, but it is too difficult to accurately rank high school kids.
