The Schoolboy team had a great weekend. They finished the tournament 5-2 going undefeated on day 2 & winning the Green/Yellow bracket!

Great weekend for the Schoolboy team!  Going 5-2 was partially a function of some kids wrestling great and showing we are making progress on the freestyle front, but also a huge part of our success was how hard these boys competed every dual. I've been coaching these MS level teams for a number of years and this is such a hard weekend of wrestling. Not only are we matching up with the best kids from around the USA, but we are competing in styles that we are vastly less experienced with. Each of these boys deserves a tremendous pat on the back for participating and helping to show that KY is improving even in the Olympic styles.

Big thanks to the coaches who did a great job encouraging and teaching the kids all weekend. These our guys are committed to helping push wrestling forward in KY if we will get on board. Great to see Team KY competing on the National Scene! Congrats to all those who competed and a BIG thanks to KYUSA Wrestling for making this happen... We need to continue to promote these events and keep our KY Wrestlers competing at high levels in the off-season... Wait... There is an off-season?  Good Job guys!!!
