A funny story!

I wish you all could have been at Larue's practice yesterday to see what I got to see and honestly, a picture is worth a thousand words so my words will probably not present the best picture of what I witnessed. Anyhow, the Hawks and the middle school Hawks both practice in the community center which is loacted just behind the schools and of course the community center is host to a lot of different activities during the year (clogging, church league basketball just to name a few). Well last night, the OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) was in town for their "show". While the Hawks were finishing up practice, lo and behold the OVW entourage enters the building to get ready to setup for the night. For those of you who don't know, they do have some pretty good athletes in their group and the wrestling show isn't that bad. But anyway, the OVW guys were apparently really interested in watching "real" wrestling, because as soon as they put their stuff away, they were all in the practice area taking things in. Sorry guys, but no challenges were issued although all of the wrestlers and even some of the OVW guys got to chat a bit. I wonder what was going through those guys minds when they saw our "practice" and then got to thinking about their wrestling style compared to ours. Perhaps the best part of the whole thing was the fact that they had the "wrestling babes" with them and all I can say is "WOW!" (oops...sorry dear!). Three or four fine looking gals in the building and one of 'em even had purple hair (she must have been from Campbell County, should have been royal blue). Well those little testosterone filled middle schoolers were just going off over the girls (and in all honesty, so was I :-o.) Matter of fact, I wanted to get one of those "skin autographs" but I was unfortunately held in check by some folks. Well, as I said, a picture is worth....so you'll just have to use your imagination on this one. By the way, weigh-ins were performed at the weight room instead of the community center, just to be on the safe side.

Wish i wouldn't have had to miss practice yesterday!!!  :-( :-( :-(
