By the way, can anyone tell me the rationale for making the top 2teams wait over half an hour after the last teams (and some additional JV matches) wrestled to begin the championship round - by then just about everyone except those 2 teams were already home!!!! I thought the idea was to feature the top teams not torture them!
at the end of the day teams who are not in the championship match usually aren't going to stay to watch a duals championship. If it was a tournament(individual style) championship you would have more people interested in seeing the finals. I don't think PRP feels they were tortured. I can see where lafayette might feel so. I think it was ran well. I think the championship match should have started sooner but it was a lot better then last years when only 3 refs showed up. Looks to me as the best teams there yesterday were in this order.
PRP
Moore
Franklin County
Lafayette
I know they didn't place that way but looking at the scores. Thats a complaint. The pools weren't set-up right. Pool B was incredibly weak with 3 teams winning one match a piece. Pool A had 3 of the top teams in it. My advice for next year. Separate PRP and Moore in different pools. That will probably be your championship match next year.
I believe it was originallyl set up a little different as far as the pools go, but than changed it at the last minute with Fairdale coming to it. It was going to be Moore's jv team. And then there were also a couple teams that had some last minute scratches as far as kids go so a couple teams were a little lighter than originally thought. Plus match ups were a problem with forfeits by some teams compared to matches wrestled, some teams matched up ok, where others only had 4-5 actual matches in it. But overall it appeared to be pretty good.

Yea it was supposed to get started a little earlier, but it took a few minutes to get the other mats away from the one mat and southern wanted to take their mat back with them that day which is good. But like the other reply, most teams aren't going to hang around to watch a duals tournament final if they aren't in it, unlike an individual tournament. I don't think it was quite a half hour from the time the other 6th round match actually ended. It also gave the referee's a few minutes break too which is good they were going most of the day strong. Overall I would say a good job to coach Thomas and his whole crew for everything that was done. Can't wait until next years!!
the way we did it was that we really didn't have a big break like most big turn. so we had to give the championship referee's a break, and also the the wrestlers needed a break beacuse of the same reason.
