I'm guessing all those schools are out that day, so they figured they would go ahead and knock it out.

Nky schools refuse to give up a Saturday to wrestle in the state duals qualifier. Most wrestle in Ohio tournaments and don't want to lose that competition.  If not held on a weekday only those who have a chance to qualify would attend.  

In most cases in both small and large school it is between the same 2 or 3 schools year in and year out.  Not much of an incentive to loose a good tournament in Ohio to participate. 

Not saying a agree just the mentality. 

I get it, I really do. Just weird that most others are later in the month after the kids get back into school.
