Teams:

Ryle

Some of the upper weight finalist are:

145: Peace Ryle Dec. Thuneman Scott

152: Copper SK Pin Dennison CC

160: Brownfield CC dec. Denham DH

171: Mason Reid Pin. Benson DH

189: Newport Dec. Holthaus CC

215: Robbins Scott dec. Who ever

285: Fuller CC Pin. Bodenbender Ryle

I really dont see dennison making it to the finals if he doesnt actually wrstle the whole match andi think that peace is gonna b 140

160: Brownfield CC dec. Denham DH

171: Mason Reid Pin. Benson DH

189: Newport Dec. Holthaus CC

215: Robbins Scott dec. Who ever

285: Fuller CC Pin. Bodenbender Ryle

Peace will not remain at 145 he will win 140

Thueneman wins 145 even is Peace is there.

152 Cooper wins this, No way Dennison beats Golsby

160 I think this could be close Brownfield, Denham and Pickett from Ryle if he gets healthy.

171 Reid wins this hands down.

189 I have no idea.

215 I have no idea.

Hwt.  Still a toss up.  the Fuller/Turner match was the ugliest thing I ever saw.  Neither did anything the entire match.  Came down to who got to choose down in the triple overtime. Plus Peterson (Scott) still has not wrestled.

No offense but this may be the weakest region 6 has been in the upper weights in a long long time (189-Hwt)

Are we going to see the complete results for NKAC?

140 Yes, I believe Peace will be at 140.

145 Come on grappler, Peace is now 2-0 against Thuneman this season and you would still bet against him.

152 Cooper no doubt

160 I have to go with Brownfield.  If they were even at that first dual (when Brownfield was not 100%), Pickett will have a lot of ground to make up at the end of the season

171 Reid

189  looks to be the mystery class, probably Robbins at this point

215 I think there is still a possibility that Bodenbender will drop, if not a complete toss-up

285 I think is Fuller's to lose.  If he gets in shape and wrestles with some heart I think he could be tough

Yes I know Ranger.

How many times did Cooper defeat Nolan before the state tourney thier Jr. year????

OOOHHH.  That even stops my next response.  I was going to say that it doesn't seem to me that Thuneman steps it up at crunch time.  He seems like more of an underachiever.  I know that seems harsh for someone who was 3rd the last two years and 5th the year before (one match from placing as an 8th grader).  But I think he should be a 2-timer already.  Nolan couldn't even step it up in a wrestle-off.  Although Cooper probably didn't beat him many times before state because he started the season as a jv.  Not sure how long before the spot opened up for him.

Nolan winning state is one of my proudest Northern KY moments of all time. Even though he beat a Northern KY wrestler (Neil Cooper) to do it.

I was going to use Joe Powers as my example but I thought Nolan was more powerful.  I guess I was correct.

After seeing Thuenerman wrestle Peace and a couple other matches this year.  I think he has the heart of a champion this year.  He has not backed down from anyone this year.  He goes all out till the whistle blows.  His match with Peace was all out till the last second.  (I think he may have had the TD).  But either way he is laying it all on the line in every match this year.

this is why I think he will succeed this year.  I did not see this in Thuenerman the last couple of years when he should have won the title.

Here are the results from the NKAC duals.

btw - i just typed these up...these results were faxed to me.  how are the individual medal winners determined for this event?  i'm seeing a few people missing that i know went undefeated (Josh Cooper, Brian Peace)

It's my understanding that you had to wrestle 5 matches in the same weight class in order to medal.

It's my understanding that you had to wrestle 5 matches in the same weight class in order to medal.

that makes sense....i think cooper and peace bumped around.  it's just weird not seeing their names as getting a medal.

PLee you have a typo its tobi not fabi

thanks for your time plee, I know SK had to change it up after little vaughn got hurt, he was hurt the previous Tues and still tried to hang tough and wrestling up
