We all knew that Ruschell getting the job would be a long shot, but this was quicker than I thought.  That being said, I do think Bono is a good choice.  He has the big name, been around enough to give him connections everywhere, and proven himself by putting relatively obscure SDSU on the map.

Let's hope Bono is smart enough to keep Kyle on staff, assuming he wants to stay.  If not though, Ruschell has certainly proven himself and I'm sure will be snapped up by someone quickly.  I can see him as the head coach of a smaller SDSU-type/non-DI school, or an assistant at another top-20 program.  The future is bright for our unofficial ambassador of KY wrestling!

Loved Barry Davis, and hated to see him retire. Hoping Bono can breathe new life into the program. Yes, it would serve Bono well to keep Ruschell on staff. A nice bridge of sorts, not to mention his ability to coach. There seems to be a growth in interest at the HS level in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Two of the better HS events Cheesehead (Wis) and Clash (Minn), bring in top talent from around the country. Maybe Bono's style can land some of this talent.
