The Union County High School varsity wrestling Braves had a strong showing at the Evansville Harrison Dual Tournament held on Friday and Saturday.
Mitch Ervin and Adam Carr led the Braves to a 5-3-1 record. Both Carr and Ervin were undefeated on the day and named Most Outstanding Wrestler in their respective weight classes.
The Braves came away with a 5-3-1 record. They lost to Evansville Memorial, who eventually won the tournament by a mere six points.
Union County was without the services of one of their better wrestlers. Jake Wempe (125) hurt his knee and was unable to practice the week of the tournament. Matt Young stepped in for Wempe.
Jarvis Elam (103) had a decent showing with a 7-2 record during the two day tournament.
