Region 7 Duals`

Topic ID: 1474 | 14 Posts

So whats everyones thoughts after they have completed and the region now has a new front runner in dunbar.  How did other matches go, and how was the reffing there the past two days?

dunbar will not beat woodford when woodford gets courtney and starks back it was close without them and really could have gone either way. major props to dunbar for beating them but it will not happen when woodford is back at full strength

WOW so Dunbar beat Woodford, thats got to be the first time in a while Woodford hasn't won regional duels! what where some of the individual match ups like....who all went 8 - 0 (i think there were 8 matches per team?)

Im pretty sure the top 6 were

1. Dunbar

2. Woodford

3. Harrison

4. Henry Clay

5. Tates Creek

6. Lafayette

Doug Winter beat Matt Green 3-1, Cliff Cornett beat Ross from montgomery 11-10,Shane beat Zarth 2-1 with a takedown in the last few seconds, Donell Davis beat Chad Scott 7-4, those were some of the best matches.

the double overtime match between donnell davis and the creek 140 was the most exciting in my opinion.  who is that kid from creek anyway? :?

and Ashbrook bumped up against Donnelle and beat him 4-3, very good match.

i think that the 140 weight class was by far the most competitive at the duals. (donnell davis, chad scott, bryan wasson, tates creeks' 140, and even lafayette's 140.)

Wasson from harrison and the Tates Creek kid was a very good match. Came down to the last second with a close ending . I think it was 5-4 wasson

that tates creek kid is jamal mohammad. he also beat chad scott of woodford co. in a great match. the score was 6-5.

Another great match was at 130 Butler beat Ashbrook 4- 0

do you mean 135 or are they both down to 130 now?

135

Dunbar had some awesome matches this past week, some really great 140 and 145 wrestlers.  Hard to tell where these will go.  One of the most competitive I have seen in some time.
