Doug Winter went home to Africa for christmas and won't be at WCI, and as far as I know Will Starks won't be wrestling either.

did you see the match...he was winning the whole match but up until the last 15 seconds it was 4-0...branch tried and 5 point move and got caught on his back...i wouldnt say he killed branch but he controlled the match...why wont eck be wrestling at the WCI and is coty lewis really wrestling at 130 or is that a rumor?

    Take out all the North Hardin match-ups in WCI.  Unfortunately, due to coaches decision, we are not going.

We've known for a week or so.  I'm assuming WCI tournament director was notified.  I'll let Coach Smith make any further comments as to why we pulled out.  Nothing drastic...

WCI was very interesting....119 is by far one of the toughest weight classes in the state this year...multiple state placers in there, but Shane Parks had a great tournament...he really showed his talent in the finals against jon chui  who beat parks 3-1 earlier in the year...and in the finals shane beat him 8-1...almost a major, but parks just destroyed him on top...chui started breaking after parks rode him and turn him a time or two...great job shane!!

Were there any good consolation matches?

The 189 final was Houchens vs Chase Harber of Dunbar, Houchens won 6-1. Also Rupp pinned Guiler.

I wouldn't say that voth needed to be more offensive on his feet, he controlled the match on his feet the entire time, up until OT

John Voth is a good wrestler, i personally cheer for him majority of the time, he's strong, in shape, and seems to be a good guy. But reality is, he's not offensive on his feet, he's defensive. he didn't take a shot the whole match and when a guy keeps shooting deep singles on your leg, he's eventually going to finish sooner or later(as proven in the finals). He was lucky he wasn't hit for stalling 2 or 3 times. As soon as he decides to be more offensive on his feet, he'll be VERY tough to beat. This is simply my opinion, not a declaration.

i believe that josh johnson got cheated out of his match against shane parks but thats just my opinion.

Overall WCI was very competitive. but the toughest weight by far is 145. you've got barger, courtney, theuneman, banks. now thats gonna be some good match ups.

We are getting off topic, but it's a close call.  I think I'd take my chances with Courtney.  At least he knows he can beat him.  Never wrestled Cooper....that was the match of the year I was waiting for.  Oh well, I guess we'll get Courtney/Banks, what number 17?  LOL.  If this is true?

The 171 who got 4th (Salter) is also from Bullitt Central.  I think it was just an honest mistake.  He probably saw B.C. and thought Bourbon County not Bullitt Central.

how did josh get cheated??? that ref is very fair and isnt even from around here, hes from West Virginia... parks wrestled hard and if you cant take the man back to the mat( which johnson just dropped to an ankle to hold on) then you are STALLING!!!! look it up in the rule book...
