Jeff Weckback From Campbell county is J.V. But gezz he is an animal in the weight room
Nick Norwood holds the national bench record in his weight and i think Daniel Miller has the dead lift record in his weight.
If you are talking about strongest of all time. I would have to put Tyler Baines on there because he got 4th at the World powerlifting meet
How much did Nick and Miller lift?
I call b.s on the national bench record, baines was an animal though but those are some pretty crazy claimes!
i would have to say jon voth... he is a BEAST this year compared to the previous years. and his biceps are way to big for his chest
I call b.s on the national bench record, baines was an animal though but those are some pretty crazy claimes!
I would check your facts on that, I know that both trinity and st x. hold several nation power lifting titles.
Your right ex-hawk i was just speaking because it sounded crazy. The usa weight lifting national rankings for 2005 have nick norwood 2nd in bench press and tyler baines first in bench press and overall , My bad It looks like i am the idiot!
How much weight are nick and miller lifting?
Joe Raleigh, 189.... Benches 340....squats in the 500's..... and can dead lift Bee Bop or a Volkswagon....
For the light weight classes from around 103-125 i would say
elliot martin sen
adam carr union
nick norwood st.x
tyler voth dun
elliot martins not that strong. He is still all skin and bones.
haha your funny skin and bones... the kid weighs in light last year and still throughs kids around and this year cutting just a few pounds he can through anyone anywhere he wants
elliot martins not that strong. He is still all skin and bones.
he is very stong, i've watched him benchpress nearly twice his weight with my own eyes.
At North Oldham we have a weightlifting findraiser in a powerlifting tourney format each year. Our 152 Jeff Thomson and 145 Chris Dudley are always neck and neck. Very strong kids for their weight, or really for any weight. If I remember correctly they both posted deadlifts of near 400 when they weighed 141 and 147 respectively. Same with their squats. Tom Kusnir has always been one of our stronger kids, along with Andre Zeppa who was squating 360 at BW of 116 or so.
There is no way Andre Zeppa squated 360.
hands down the strongest 112 and 125 in the state is the voth brothers they are dominating with ther strength
da, the Voths are pretty beastly..but im supreised no one's mentiones Mark Jones yet
knox's wrestling team has strong people for there wt.
125- bench 215
deadlift 425
hwt- bench 295
deadlift is somewhere in 500's not sure about exact weight.
but really bench doesnt help you on the mat.
yea it does...what about when your on the bottom broken down an you need to push up...isnt that somewhat like benching?
Hips (core strength) and flexibility are the most important. Sure you're going to out muscle a weaker opponent if you're just stronger, but against quality opponents, core strength will win out every time.
Bench really isnt that important in Wrestling, i mean being able to push your self up off the mat, isnt really that important because you usually just work your legs up first. But the main muscles are your back and biceps for pulling in and holding
This may be the reason football coaches don't appreciate wrestling.
Football depends more on a pushing motion where bench press is important. Wherass wrestlers need a pulling motion like a curl.
A weight room workout for wrestlers should look a lot different than a workout for football players.
