Oh im sure. Being lazy, just going to wait until Track posts the matches.
I’m intrigued by the possible Noah Duke vs Colin Stevens quarterfinal match up. Colin Stevens beat Clayton Boyd at state last year, then Boyd beat Duke this year. Only common opponent I could find even tho it spans two different seasons.
#5 Chapman vs #10 Meyer 2nd Round. Winner gets #6 Giompalo in quarters
#1 Pye vs #2 Lawson in Quarters. #4 Kinley vs #8 Jones 2nd round
#3 Peace vs #6 Morgan 2nd round
#2 Bacon vs #4 Hoppes, #1 Deck vs #3 Lutes Quarters
#3 Adams vs #4 Cowan 2nd round.
#11 Fletcher vs #6 Garcia 2nd round
#4 Pogue vs #9 Deckard 2nd round.
#2 Carr vs #4 Rivera 2nd round
#1 Brown vs #5 Coleman 2nd Round. Winner vs #3 Baber in quarters.
#1 Ervin vs #6 Kelsay 2nd round. #3 Boyd vs #5 Slayton 2nd Round
#3 Blanton vs Moore first round. Rematch from ultimate tie breaker match at state duals.
#4 Abren vs #7 Marchal 2nd round (rematch I think)
#5 Ornelas vs #9 Bush 2nd round
#2 Bussell Vs #4 Horn Quarters
#3 Watkins vs #4 Stone 2nd round

Would that be tomorrow?

I think Monday as of now is the schedule. Might be surprised and see it released tomorrow. If anyone wanted to, they could build the brackets themselves.

When I did it.. I had Luke Chapman Vs M. Meyer in quarters? Luke and Riley Johnson 1st round? I must have done it wrong.. Lol I just wait till Monday..
On a SIDE NOTE Its hard to win in Johnson Central its like Rupp Arena the crowd gets rocking.

You did it correct. Luke Chapman vs Riley Johnson first round.
All this says to me is to not miss Friday. Shut down the office, hit the road at 4:30, see the early fireworks!
One day they will figure out it's easy to seed this tournament. Until then, it will give us all something to debate. Good luck to all the wrestlers and I can't wait to watch the tournament.

Ohio does, returning state placers that win districts are seeded.

What criteria do they follow? Would they seed a#2 in a region over a #1 from a different region? Or similar to what Ohio does, as mentioned above?

IV. STATE TOURNAMENT (Division I)
A. The draw for the state tournament shall be made by the state office and shall be released after the
completion of all regional wrestling tournaments.
B. Wrestlers who meet the qualification shall be placed in each weight division in the state tournament. In
order to be placed, a wrestler must be a regional champion and must have been a state place finisher
during his high school career. The criteria for placing shall be as follows:
1. Separate all state champions (includes state champions from other states).
2. The following criteria shall be used to separate state champions: (a) state champion at same weight,
(b) state champion at higher weight, (c) state champion at lower weight. (If there are two state
champions at the same weight the state champion from Tennessee will receive the higher seed.)
3. Follow the same procedure as #2 above for 2nd place from previous year, 3rd place from previous
year,
4. Items #2 and #3 shall be applied in order to wrestlers who placed in the state tournament two years
prior.
5. Blind draw.
D. After the brackets have been released, if a school suspects than an error has been made in the application
of the criteria, the school should email Mark Reeves, [email protected]. If an error has been made, the
state office will correct the error as long as the state tournament program has not been sent to print.
Seems like you could wrestle a kid from your region first round. Not sure that’s a big deal or not.
To many coaches don't update track. To me It would be unfair to seed them off rankings..Lot of programs could care less about rankings, probably because they are to lazy to post results, let alone fight for a seed.. . Random sucks, but it is fair. Nobody can cry foul. Nobody can say the ranking are wrong etc. Random = no excuses. That's how I see it. But I'm not on the board. So whatever happens .. It is what it is. I won't lose any sleep if they seed it.

Until you start mandating coaches to update records on track or whatever data base they want to use, no point in seeding. Then you are just seeding on opinion once they figure out how to circumvent the seeding criteria. We all know coaches find ways around criteria to get kids seeded above others that are not necessarily better than that kid. Trackwrestling can be used to do all the things that KY Wrestling needs it to do if the state would just say, this is what we are doing and failure to do so will result in wrestlers not being able to participate. Missouri does it and coaches get their butts in gear and put info in.
In the 39 state tourneys that I have seen, I have learned that no matter how you place the brackets there will always be flaws.
Can you seed the state tourney? Of Course you can, but it still will not be correct. How do you compare a Western Kentucky team that spends most of the season in Missouri or Tenn. with a Northern Kentucky team that spends most of its season in Indiana or Ohio.
I know that the middle school is doing it but even this year there were arguments on how the seeds worked out.
The only seeding that I would be OK with is the way some have mentioned about other states. Taking the champions from each region and placing them in accordance to their placement in last years state tourney. That way there is no opinion or bias involved in the seeding.
If you make the seeding to complicated like the regional seeds it is almost impossible to accomplish.
I believe in the K.I.S.S. method (Keep It Simple Stupid)
