2019 Ranger Report

Topic ID: 14888 | 24 Posts

Sorry for the late post, but it took me much longer than anticipated for Dutch and I to coordinate on the commentary.  Doing this stuff via email is painful.

Good luck to all of the wrestlers this weekend.  Wrestle hard and safe.  And I will be the first to say these are just rankings on a piece of paper.  The medals are all won on the mats in Alltech.

WR 2018_2019 Ranger Workbook STATE VERSION.pdf

Thanks Ranger. We shared 103/112 predicted placers. One or two classes we had the same order.

Solid picks, 182-220 will be really interesting. Ready to watch it all play out

Malachi Rider is out. Won’t see a 1 vs 6 matchup first round.

Great moment Thursday night. Sitting in my hotel room stressing over different matchups for our kids when I get a text from Mike Sheffer. Had a nice chat with him. Made my day.

Thank you Ranger for all your hard work on keeping the whole state up with youth, middle, and High School. Always look forward to checking them out really appreciate it.

@Ranger123

Will you be doing a state recap this year?

thanks for all the work!

Definitely. Got it started. Just need to get it to Dutch to add some color commentary. Maybe we will finish it off next weekend as we watch our boys scrap at the National collegiate open.

Any word on that recap?

@Ranger123 Hopefully not bothering, but definitely interested in the year end report. Thanks!

He is slacking

C'mon guys give him a break he IS getting OLDER. And you know old people don't move very fast and their minds slip a little.

KHSAA must have finally got a hold of him and locked him in the dungeon.

With bodyguards like Ryan and Spencer?  I doubt it. LOL.

@Ranger123 are you about finished with the post-state thesis?

Ranger is on strike.

He will not complete another Ranger report until KHSAA decides on a decent venue for the state tournament.

Or at least until they have reasonably priced food at the state tourney.

Dalton Russellburg messed it all up.

Definitely not true. I picked him as my surprise wrestler at 152 and likely to finish higher than projected.

I will put towards this point that I turned to you back in December and made the point, “This Russelburg kid is really freaking good”

@Ranger123 Will you be releasing the write up or is it on to next season? Thanks!

Imagine how Brian Breakman must have felt back in the 80s when I was in school. Keep up the good work. First time I've been on here in years.

Anxiously awaiting this years Ranger Report.
