Okay, the tourni ended after 11 and I didn't get home until after 1:30 so I was not paying a lot of attention to specifics by the time it was over.

1st Lafayette

2nd Johnson Central

3rd Tates Creek

4th Bullitt Central

I'm not certain about the rest.  I was only paying attention to our team score and my wrestlers.---it was a very long day.

1.trey morlatt oldham county

2.casey hedges tates creek

3.thompson Franklin County

4.Casey Spencer Johnson Central

5.Jeff Weckbach Campbell County

6.Jason Green NH

It was really interesting, because Jason Green in the conso semifinals was disqualified from his match against casey spenncer when he was winning by around 9 or 10 points and i feel that if the brackets were different he probably wouldhave gotten 2nd because he did give mrolatt the best match

There were many major holdups during this tournament--as in almost every one I have ever been to, but some great wrestling matches, especially during the finals.  Some of these guys have improved tremendously since last year.  All in all it was a great day.  But really a long one.  Any predictions out there?

does this mean josh young is going to wrestle 215 for the rest of the year instead of wrestling 285 he was giving up a lot of wieght

I hope that he didn't make this move because of what happened at Harrison Co. Inv.  Upsets happen quickly and often in the Hwt. divisiion.  Just look at what happened at Conner (SO) pinning Byrd.

At 160lbs bot of the wrestlers going for 3/4 place had to forfet the match.

what were the scores in the finals of the lightweights???

What was the score of the Zarth/Spencer match.

it was something in the ballpark of 6 or7 to 0 i think i could be wrong though but from what i saw zarth dominated spencer in all aspects of the match

The match ended 4-0, but I didn't see complete domination by Zarth.  Spencer gave up at takedown with 9 seconds in the first period and a reversal with 10 seconds remaining in the second period.  At the end of the third, Spencer came very close to putting Zarth on his back.  Having seen both of these guys wrestle, I think they are both very talented, but this was not a particularly good performance by either of them, especially Spencer.  Zarth did what he had to do, but if you remove 20 seconds from the match (which you cannot do) the third period would end 0-0.

I think the most interesting match of the day was how well 7th grader JJ Jude did against Ross-Carpenter. It was one of the most exciting matches of the tournament.

This was a great match Jude actually had Ross flat in 2nd period but came up short losing 12 to 10 in a thriller...
