Middle school and youth Regionals

Topic ID: 15389 | 7 Posts

Hey maybe someone can help with this. If a kid is wrestling middle school and is young enough for youth does the kid need to wrestle both middle school an youth regionals just in case they don’t place in middle school state

If they wrestle the Middle School tournament and don't qualify there, they don't have to wrestle youth to still wrestle in the youth state tournament

Ok thanks

Can they wrestle both? Or do they have to choose one or the other

Last year, if the wrestler didn't make the podium, they could wrestle on Sunday at the youth tournament.

Middle School wrestlers can wrestle both Youth and Middle School Regionals. If they are a MS wrestler, they have to wrestle MS regionals and place top 4 to move on to MS State. No Youth only wrestlers at MS regionals. If a MS wrestler places at MS State, they are out of Youth State. If a MS wrestler wrestles at MS State but doesn't place, they are able to wrestle at Youth State. They will need to weigh in at Youth State if they don't make it to MS State.
