Hi, my family is planning a move from ID to KY this summer and we are trying to settle in an area that will enable our son to wrestle.  He is middle school age and practices 6 days a week at his club, year round.  Are there any clubs (or areas) in KY that you can recommend for us that would enable him to continue to develop at this pace?   He got a late start but is very serious so we would like to find an organization that is less recreational and more competitive.  He wrestles all three styles.  Any guidance you can provide will be appreciated!

Carr Wrestling Acadamy is top of the line when it comes to youth through high school. Located in Lexington KY. I would have to say Coach Carr Sr is the best technician in all of wrestling!!! They have a website look them up if your serious about your wrestler being a CHAMPION!!

Where are you located?

What part of KY are you moving to ? 

If you move to Northern KY there are plenty of places to train in Cincinnati.

Probably going to Lexington area

Carr Wrestling Academy would be a great choice in that case

You could always come to Union Co. Not much to do here besides wrestle. lol

The two largest school affiliated youth clubs near Lexington are Woodford county and Madison county.  In Lexington, Carr Academy is an excellent club. 

We have our kids in the Catholic school system which looks like we would need to be up north near Louisville area because Lexington High doesn't have a wrestling team . . . . any recommendations up there?

Trinity, St. X, Desales (Catholic?) are in the Louisville area. Union County has a Catholic school pre-k through 8th grade and middle school aged kids wrestle for the UC middle school club, but no catholic high school in the county.

All three Boy's schools have feeder programs

St. Xavier- River City
Trinity- Shamrock
Desales- Colts

Union has a catholic school prek-8th and there middle school wrestlers can be in that school but I dont think that the high school team allows people from other schools other than there own
