It gives high school seniors a do over year. Who’s coming back for a second senior season?

It’s amazing to me that this is a thing. It got amended to include K-12.

What do you think the pros are for wrestling?

We become more like Ohio having kids over 20 competing. And when I say more like Ohio I don’t mean in a good way.

My understanding of this new law was they still had to meet the age limit which is can’t be 19 before Aug 1 to be eligible.

I think you might be correct on that.

My thinking is if kids know they can just repeat this year, academics will be far off in the rear view. Leads people to put a lot more into extracurriculars than academics. I’m not certain that’s a precedent we need to set.

What does this do to recruiting? An over abundance of athletes competing for finite scholarships (more than normal)?

It’s true. I read it in there.

With the way kids can take so many college classes in high school, a few might give this a shot.

I wonder if you can essentially be full time in college and compete in high school, then?

Most kids are not 19 by August 1st. even after they graduate.
