A wrestler esp. from a team in that region cannot do rankings. They turn out to be way to bias.

Davis' only loss is to warner also

You've got to be kidding me, you're not talking about the same kid that stood up and pounded on his chest during a match and ended up losing are you?

The ref tried to take that match from Malcolm, Davis locked his hands at LEAST 4 times on top and the ref didn't give at LEAST 3 takedowns that were CLEARLY takedowns for Malcolm, and gave that Davis kid a take down that NO ONE believed was really a takedown, even Eastern's coaches were suprised by the call.

I personally don't believe that Davis can beat Stewart.

i would agree with penguins too.  I didn't see the match he is talking about, but I did see him wrestle at the big east and he really didn't appear good technique wise.  He just looked strong and quick.  I saw him lock hands in that one too as well as the previously mentioned eye pokes.  I think Kevin will probably be too strong technique wise for him, Kevin might match his strength too.

But he lost to Donnell Davis, who is now at 135.

iunno bout you guys but with me wrestling for southern last year. Davis reminds me so much of Joe powers. he's like a little mini Joe Powers. so you never know what could happen. everyone thought Joe wasn't so hot but he won state. who knows but Jackson and davis should be a good match

The difference there is that Joe had some more technical knowledge.  Maybe in a couple years or so if he stays with it he might be at that level...

Kusnir beat Branch by either 5 or 6, can't remember, but they'll see each other again on Wednesday. Kusnir and Kraft have split matches now. Anyone know if Branch and Kraft have wrestled each other yet this year?

Eaglewrestler I think you need to figure in Paul Marks from Eastern into your results. It's not certain what weight he will be at but he will definately make it to state. He will be either at 125 or 130 which will mean the Eastern wrestlers at those weights will be at other weights. It's too soon to predict because some wrestlers will shift weights before regionals.

Did you see Joe wrestle??  He only wrestled for 1 1/2 years. His technique was not very good he was strong, fast and determined, along with working his rear end off.  What he lacked in technique (which was allot) he made up for in determination and aggressiveness.

I agree.  That state championship was won on heart and determination.

How can you say davis doesnt know takedowns? I'll admit he is not very technical on the ground he has barely any pins this year. But pretty much all of his matches he can take his opponent down at will

I don't think you can rule Davis out. I've seen a lot of good wrestler get beat by wrestler with no technique but plenty of strength and determination! Although the very best wrestlers will recognize a wrestler like Davis' strength and work hard to be prepared for it.

Well, since I was the one who asked, I'll have to admit that he did look pretty good this past weekend.  I remember seeing him at  Woodford Co too, he looked good there as well...but, I still think Stewart can take him.  Call me biased if ya want to.

No, there was no one ranked above him at the Dragon.  But like I said above I have seen him at a couple of different tournaments and he looks pretty good...but not as good as Stewart.  I don't know if they have had a chance to wrestle each other or not.

they should get to wrestle on wensday at north but if not then at regionals because warner will be 1 sweart will be 2 and he should be 3 and i dont know who will be 4 but 1and 4 should meet in the semis and 2 and 3 should meet in the other semis  so we shall see if he can beat stewart but i dont think so just my opion

I am not underestimating him, I just like Stewart because I'm from FC.  I think I said that he looked good,  nope, I'm sure of it, I said he looked good.

Come on now, don;t rub it in  Kevin stewart is a senior, and it sucks that he doesnt get ot compete as state.

I respect Kevin for how well he handled himself after his loss. I don't think he could have handled it any better. A 4x State Qualifier (i think) and #3 or #4 in the state as a senior, and he accepted his loss like a great wrestler would. He didn't explode, no tantrums, and shook the other coaches hand. I know if I would have went out that day, it wouldn't have been pretty, so I give much props and respect to Stewart. Great sportsmanship on his behalf, good luck to him in the future.

I'm Sorry I didn't really mean to direct this to Kevin. He is a real class act and was a great sport about everything that happened yesterday. I really meant this towards all the Fern Creek kids that acted like I was crazy to even think Justin Davis could beat Kevin Stewart. It really is a shame that Kevin won't get to go to state, and I wish good luck to him in the future.
