It always used to be the rule (I thought) that a wrestler could not be entered in regions at a weight class that they did not wrestle at all during the regular season. What is the rule? With the new weight rules I am just unsure.
Weight Class for Regions

Wrestler had to make scratch weight by jan 29. Theres no match rule or combination of 4 rule any more. Example, if a kid wants to be 132, he had to make 132 before Christmas or 134 after Christmas to certify at that weight and be eligible for region. Also if that same kid certified at 132, but after that he weighed in 2 weight classes above, it breaks the certification for 132

OK, thank you. So if a wrestler certified at 132, but then weighed 135, it would be possible to enter him/her in the 138 weight class even if that wrestler had not wrestled 138 all year, correct?

yes
Just for information and clarification I thought Jan 24th9th was the date as well and could be but on Track weight Management it shows lock in date as Feb 4th so we might want to check on this and see which is correct.
