119-zarth had a touhg weight class wrestled caleb and wood got hard and ended the match
125- zeppa north
130- blake kraft
135 not sure
140 piece over jackson great match
mason reid handled ben rup and john florence and got mow
Bottom line Smith was not pinned and spladled ryle to win ! Trinity won the tourney with 2 > 1st 1 >2nd 6..>3rds 1 >4th and 2>6ths a great showing at a freat tournament!
We have some more results here? I had to work and heard different on some classes, ,, got the rest?
130 was a well stacked weight class but would of been even more tough if brown wasnt hurt brown has already beatin kraft once this year but it was a close match so it would have been an interesting rematch
i heard justin davis from eastern won at 135, did he wrestle kevin stewart? who did he have in the finals
what are some of the heavy results?
Kevin Stewart did not wrestle at the Dragon.
The Heavy results were umm.. Bodenbender won it, and the South Oldham kid took second.

thanks you kno how close a match it was
mason reid won MOW by slaughtering both florence ( by 8 or 9 ) and rupp ( by either 14 or 12 ).... i have a feeling some people are going to finally be some believers in mason reid now after i was laughed at in the preseason poll on here to win it. and peace majored jackson this time. the SK 103 is pretty impressive, i think better than jarvis elam and should be 3rd. chip condon beat hitchings at 152, nice match. the eastern 135 is extremely quick, one of the quickest ive seen in awhile. but talk about quickness, ive never seen a heavier guy move as fast as mason reid, he looked quicker than all the lightweights.
to finish the earlier results post...
145 - theuneman
152 - cooper
160 - wolsiefer
171 - reid
189 - houchens
215 - chaney (im pretty sure, but not positive)
285 - ryle's heavyweight

Deon did win. He hit Matt Green with a lateral drop for 5 points and ended up winning 6-2. One of the best throws I have seen, even better than when he threw Jordon Dockery...wait, I see a pattern here...do you?
Matt Baker the 215 from North Hardin did not wrestle at the Dragon today, unless you mean another Matt Baker.
my mistake I knew it was one of those Matt's. I fixed it.
Matt Baker did lose to Dockery of Seneca 4-1 in the Trojan Invitational finals. My hat is off to Dockery. He looked good. North Hardin won as a team, and Matt Eck got MOW.
Yes, Mason Reid won MOW, and having wrestled him myself he is one of the fastest people I've probably ever wrestled. That includes people like Scherer, Jones, Rupp, and Starks.
Reid beat Florence by 12 points in the semis and Rupp by I think 14? He seems to be the real deal here late in the season.
Peace looked great out there on the matt he handled Jackson.. Reid handled everyone he should be able to win it..also I do agree the 103 pounder from sk is pretty tough he lost to Bradbury 3-2 because of locking hands which was somewhat controversial.. he did take him down pretty quick i would love to see him wrestle Jarvis elam
Does anyone have full results?
Any score results? of all weight classes
Did Cornett not wrestle?
That hole crying thing goes back to middle when a coach taught that to his kids. Some coaches that coached about two years ago know what i'm talking about. Pretty said that you have to win a match that way. Pretty louzy coach i would have to say too.

I would call it more on the lines of smart wrestler. I did not see the match but if you think you are going to get pinned then you should do what you have to do to get off but this is just my opinion.

well thats what seperates what you think between the boys and the men...
This really is unfair to Dan Smith and inaccurate.
The kid fought hard not get pinned,Scheuer did his best to pin, during this his body covered Smith's face,
the ref stopped the match, Scheuer got 4 nearfall points, the match restarted with Smith earning the victory. Don't make things up that aren't true.
I love how people can put they're little twist on a story to make others look bad.
Maybe it's because they didn't as good as they wanted and want to bring others down.
maybe you are putting a twist, but I think that if you get put to your back it is your own fault, and you should deal with the consequences... and its just ironic that those kids seem to get hurt alot while on their back
What "kids" are you talking about?

Please tell me you are kidding on this. This has to be the most unethical statement I have ever heard on here. It's one thing to take an injury time out because you need a breather (which is also unethical) but its quite another to cry wolf when you are getting pinned.
I agree it always gets me mad when someone taps even if it is for lack of air i can remember a match this year in which i actually black out for a second due to lack of air but i didnt get pinned and i didnt tap
if you think you are going to get pinned then you should do what you have to do to get off but this is just my opinion.
If one of my wrestlers ever tried to pull this kind of stuff just so they didn't get pinned. I would forfeit the match and give their opponent the win.
This is so funny, I know what kids and coach you are talking about!!!! If you wrestled middle school in the past few years or have been at the middle school state tournament you wou know who it is too!!! :-D :-D
The kids weren't taught that way, they just weren't looked down upon when they did it.
Don't try to say it was "taught" by them, like they had tapping drills in practice or anything.
does any body have the FULL results from the dragon?
Surprises from my end:
Whitehouse 103 S.Oldham taking 5th-losing to Warren and the Ryle kid
Andre Zeppa 119 N.Oldham taking 4th- losing to Zarth 5-6, and the Trinity kid by 1-2? Andre looked slow and seemed like the face mask was bothering him alot.
Antonio Zeppa taking 1st at 125- looked dominate, smashing Marks (East) and Ohlman (Trin). I didn't see a 1st for him, but he looked tough.
Black Kraft taking 1st over Kusnir at 130. I saw Kusnir winning the finals match but he came out flat.
Andrew Mitchell taking 6th at 140- i saw a higher placement.
Cody Hall taking 4th at 145- I did not see him losing to the St X kid, but he looked flat as well.
Rupp getting DOMINATED by Reid. Wow, it looked like Rupp was in 5th grade in that match.
Houchens looked great at 189- he will place high or be a legit contender this year. I guess all those years of wrestling Shcerer in the practice room has paid off.
All in all good tournament, South Oldham stepped up strong taking 3rd, Trinity looked great, and Ryle is still a powerhouse.

Actually no I am not kidding. Its the same concept of if you get burned on a pass play in football and you grab a little jersey to slow him down and the ref does not catch it, you take a charge and fall to your back in basetball although you really was not set bt you get the call, you scream and fall to the ground in soccer when really your opponnet gets all ball but the ref calls a penalty thinking you got kicked in the leg. I could go on and on. I would not teach this to my wrestlers but I do think it is a very strategic move and won him and many others matches. If you ever watch any higher level of wrestling this happens alot especially if someone gets in a tight position, sometimes the ref stops it and soetimes the ref lets it go. It is up to the ref to stop it or not just like in any ither sports.
Yes, the tapping out thing when your getting pinned is common by a specific coach. They also use to take timeouts in the 3rd period. Very ridiculous.

In High school it is not up to the ref to stop it or not. It is required that the ref. stop the match if a kid yells that he is hurt. This is why they have amended the injury time.
The reasoning for this is that refs are not doctors therefore cannot determine if a kid (I stress kid, because this is high school) is injured or not.
It may be different in collage, I'm not sure.
can i get a full result list please?
can you guys please quit talking about the tapping out thing. Make a new topic or something and someone please bring the full bracket results to this topic and leave the topic of discussion the dragon invitational.
THANKYOU! Boys (I said boys} will be boys, we all know what will really happen, remember, some of those refs are growing too, it is always defined in the end (most of the time)!
Anyway, I just saw the video of Wolsiefer wrestling vaughn from sk, he looked mad because he could not pin him and was giving the points back, Johnny just taught some kid about five lessons out of the nine he put on him. I like grit I seen there. John looked a little tired of messing with him at the end. He is one awesome wresrtler, glad to see a rookie work him though. Watch out for his little brother at 103, he is just now healthy! I watched a couple of matches and did not see too many upsets.
Very well run, some food cost too much (I was not there, I would have been hungry if this is true, LOL).
Can we get off the tap, only boys can be boys,,,,boys,,,,
Ok to get back onto the Dragon Topic

Is this score right? I thought Chaney lateraled Green at the end of the third to beat him 5-2? which is the right score?

Neither. I think he lateraled him in the 1st to go up 5-0 and won 6-2.
does any one have the results for the rest of the places
Neither. I think he lateraled him in the 1st to go up 5-0 and won 6-2.
either way thats completely different to a 11-3 major
this is what is important
HAHAHA nice post ccbcdeke!!
dang that will beat a mans pride down really fast
Everybody gets lucky once. He did nothing after that.
And Dougie...wheres the picture of you getting stuck in a cradle by Matt Green at the Five Star?
I personally dont think Rupp is that good of a wrestler. He seems to wanna muscle ppl... imo. Congrats to Reid for an amazing tournment.. and MOW
I've always thought Rupp was a great wrestler. I'm from North Hardin, and even though Mark Jones has beaten him and vice versa, I always thought it was because he got caught momentarily in a mistake and got pinned. I haven't seen Reid wrestle, but he must be great. Was Rupp hurt or ill? That was a pretty big unexpected win margin.
What happend to Wood? How seriously is he hurt? Also, this is for the Student, I hope you are not a coach, because if you are, you should be fired. Those are some of the most rediculous statements I have ever heard. Are you saying if I laced you on your face, and had you on your back that you would cry to get up so that I could do it again. That does not sound very smart to me.
Man you are an butt ! Chaney thats a funny post but take that off here How would you like someone putting a pic that that of you on here?
Chaney's takedown on Matt Green was truly beautiful - I'm sure Matt would agree. I'm also sure that most of the crowd would also agree that it was the only substantial action seen of Chaney during the match. Chaney's smart and he stayed away as much as the ref would allow. I'm reminded of the old saying, "even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then".
I think all of the winners are correct but some of the scores posted by wrestlingforyears are wrong. I know, Davis beat Allman by a score of either 18-14 or 18-15. He did what he does best. He took Allman down and let him back up. Allman didn't wrestle a bad match though. Wolseifer beat Vaugh 21-7. Houchens pinned Lewis. Chaney beat Green 6-2. Bodenbender beat Mastrovich 3-2. That one was a real stall fest. Bodenbender was awarded a penalty point late b/c Mastrovich was called for stalling. Mastrovich kept trying to get the head lock / hip toss and couldn't get it. I don't know about the rest of the scores listed. By the way, does anyone know how Cody Mann from FC is doing?
By the way, does anyone know how Cody Mann from FC is doing?
Cody went to school today. he had a concussion. He should be back for State Duals.
And Dougie...wheres the picture of you getting stuck in a cradle by Matt Green at the Five Star?
I meant no disrespect to Matt in the comment I just thought it was a very witty reply. Besides how could I not have respect for the kid when we are 1-1 and he is (as of now) my only instate loss at 215
and...Cradle?
What are you talking about?....lol now no denying Matt Green definitely stuck me, but it wasn't in a cradle, in fact as embarrassing as this is to say, it wasn't in a pinning combination at all.

Haha, I would've just said it was a cradle, at least there is some technique in that one.
Listen. All of you are great wrestlers and I think there are some great matches ahead of us at Region and State. Taber, please do not try to start anything. All of the wrestlers are working hard and please, I do not want my team in the middle of a "word" battle.

Fern Creek had 3 place 3rd. Tommy Warren(103), Dan Weixler(112) and Kyle Hardin(189).
Tommy beat Ryle by points, Wex beat St. X by pin, and Kyle beat Scott 2-1. I think Branch took 5th at 130, Mann defaulted to sixth at 152, and Simmons took 5th at 125.

Well I thought we dropped this topic but here goes some guy trying to get his two cents worth.
Actually I am not a coach but I was taught in COLLEGE and it has never came into play with me because I rarely go to my back but I see it happen all the time and not only when people are on their back. For example when someone is having their shoulder cranked on and they are obviously going to their back so they squeal a little and the ref stops it, you have probably done it D.W. considering most people have. The other thing is maye he cried maybe he just yelled a little I dont know I was not there, either way he got off his back and did not get "laced on his face again" and he got the pin. I am not saying that this needs to be taught to kids so they do it everytime they are on their backs, but it is a very smart move. You can call it what you want D.W..
what happened to the kid they took out on the stretcher? did he break his neck?
what happened to the kid they took out on the stretcher? did he break his neck?
I never saw them take any one out in a stretcher from the Dragon - I saw this at Eastern and no one ever said what happened.
i heard he had a really bad concussion.
yeah this is the guy who got took out on the stretcher lol yeah im ok it was only a bad concussion nothing fatal or season ending be back this weekend for state duals. The stretcher was a safty precaution so that we could make sure that it was only a concusion not a neck injury
glad your okay and will be able to wrestle this weekend
nope cant wrestle this weekend since we got screwed out of state duals we have no tourney to go to
