I can't beleive that there is such sparse information on regionals results.

I agree. Regional results and state tournament pairings should have been already posted.
results for region 2-4 have been posted on the kswa website - www.kyswa.org. The state pairings will be out hopefully by this weekend.

How are the pairings done at the middle school level? Like the high school with a draw or do you do something different?
Pairings are done like the old Hs State Tournament when we had districts and regions. (which needs to be done in the near future to avoid 24-man brackets in regions!) People need to realize that it takes time to set brackets for something like this. Give it some time.

We get a random drawing from Julian Tackett....it looks something like this (below is an old one from 1995 I belive). Then we just fill in the names. So yes, it's a random draw.

I'm aware of that, i'm looking into fixing it....i might just post an excel file with the results. For some reason, the s/w we use on that site does not like uploaded .pdf files, when a user downloads it...it shows up blank. It's happend to about 3 different files i've posted there. Check the site in about 5-10 minutes...you can see the results, but not the brackets.
