Good Afternoon,

Travis Baney, former head wrestling coach at WHHS. One of the more exciting things in my life is happening. My unit has been called to deploy for the KY National Guard. This was given to us on very short notice and took me by surprise. I am looking forward to the opportunity to serve our country and my Soldiers in this capacity. With that being said, unfortunately, I won't be present for this wrestling season.

Our new head coach, Kenny Atha, will be taking over the helm. I have full faith and confidence in him and the rest of our coaching staff. The team will stay committed to the tournaments they have committed to and we are still hosting tournaments Nov. 30 and Jan. 4 and looking for teams.

I appreciate being a part of this wonderful community and look forward to getting back to it when we return. Good luck everyone and have a wonderful season!
