No problem, Hardknox07.  Controversial call in the Shipp/Baker match earlier this season, but hey a win is a win and Shipp will get the number 1 seed.  I predict a battle in the finals, because Shipp is no slouch.  You just got to rack points up, so one call by a ref doesn't do you in.  Easier said, than done, I know....

Actually "controversial" was too strong a word to use.  I should have said "disputable".

It was on a last second takedown.  Don't want to start a pissing contest with Larue.

The win went in Shipp's column and that ends that discussion.  All that matters now, is what happens in region.  No hard feeling against Shipp.  Heck, we all want those calls to go in our favor.  I am a big fan of Larue's Joe Embree, and felt like the takedown call in overtime that Steven Dow got was too close to call.  Steven may have still prevailed later, and I was proud of Steven, but I felt bad for Joe.  Just hate when a call is "disputable."   

I favor Matt Baker.  He is hungry for the region title.  The past two years is haunting him.  He is healthy now and not starving himself.  Matt is a very intelligent young man and in my opinion will come out on top in region 2.

The Larue and North Hardin match of Embree and Dow I am referring to, was in last year's region finals.

I have to agree with Mrs. Baker.  I think Matt will take the regional championship as well.  Our 215 has faced him twice with both being good matches.  Matt is not a flashly wrestler but he always seems to keep it close and get the job done in the end.  He's had a few tough losses this year and that will only make him better in the long run.  He'll find a way to get the job done in the Regional finals as well.

Carmen will take first at 125 in this region easy. Unless that Rojas kid from John Hardin wrestles at 125 (I thought a saw a results page with him at 125), then it will be a good match for 1st place at 125 in Region 2.

If Bailey comes out strong, i give him the advantage, but if he waits back he could be in trouble if they stay on there feet the whole match. I also think Ballinger has the 3rd place slot locked up. Me and Brooks Evans will be the 4th and 5th seeds. So however wins that will round out the top four with the loser going as a alternate.

I think it was 6-4.  I believe it was tied 4-4 and Shipp was awarded a takedown in the last second as they tumbled out of bounds... The North crowd went ballistic...  The regular season is done.  Not a big deal between the route that the #1 and #2 seeds in region have to take at this point.  What happens next is what really matters.  Hoping for a good draw for all the North Hardin guys at state.  ha!
