Dunbar is taking 12
Larue is taking 13
is that the most?? 13 by larue?
Ryle 12
Simon Kenton 11
Trinity has 13.
how many is woodford taking? and are they looking like a state champion team?
North Hardin has 13
The only thing about LaRue is that they didnt have a 171 wrestle in the regions.
Woodford is only taking 10. - 5 of which were regional champions.

why not was he sick are hurt
he tore some of the cartilage in his knee or something like that in practice..
schs is taking 28
The one LaRue County wrestler not to qualify was injured in practice after the regional seeds had already come out.
North Hardin is taking 13 kids, but two of those are alternates, so they have 11 definites. LaRue has 13 definites.
Union is taking 12 and 1 alternate.
Dunbar is taking all 14 - only 12 competing the other 2 are alternates
schs is taking 28
wow...we dont even have 28 kids on our team.
seneca is taking 13 competitors and 1 alternate
You are not a state qualifier unless you placed in the top four in the regions. Alternates only count if someone who did place in the top four cannot compete for some reason. This does not include not making weight at the state tournament. Therefore Dunbar is only taking 12, Seneca 13, and North Hardin 11.
Woodford is only taking 10, quite a down year for the team as the rest of the year has been. Steven Butler was injured and most certainly would have qualified and possibly won the tournament. His points will be missed this weekend.

Didn't Larue have a backup 171 to put in his place?
Woodford might only be taking 10 but i look for them to step it up and take 14

The 171 kid (Des/Dez Jakes) WAS the back-up.
LaRue's lineup got shifted around earlier in the season when the the Barnhill situation came up.

what do you mean? like next year?
I think he means State Championship #14
According to the KHSAA (which has all brackets/lineups online now with the exception of grades):
13: LaRue County, Seneca, St. Xavier, Trinity
12: North Oldham, Paul Dunbar, Ryle, South Oldham, Union County, Wayne County
11: Fern Creek, North Hardin, Simon Kenton
10: Campbell County, Eastern, Sheldon Clark, Woodford County
schs is taking 28
How do you take 28, there are only 14 spots?
It's going to be almost impossible for Woodford to win it without Butler's points. They will need AT LEAST 4 in the finals. Just don't see it. Other teams will have too many placers.

Four in the finals is doable. Starks, Courtney, Parks, Byrd (that leaves out defending champ Lewis) and I think Sheehan has a shot.
I say five in the finals, four champs. WC won in it in '99 by 45 points (16 man bracket) and only had two in the finals. Its all about placers, and WC has atlteast 8 of those. If they get all 10 guys to atleast Sat. afternoon then they have a shot at a 14th title.
With the Cooper tragedy, Ryle now has 13 going. We had the alternate at 152.

i think he was joking.
i think alternates count as state qualifiers! They have to make weight the first day just like everyone else and they have the state tourny invite as an alternate which means they probably arent going to wrestle but they did finish fifth JUST IN CASE they have to. Which makes you a qualifier!
