I know PRP has an eighth grader who placed 2nd in regions(145 Northington) and is qulified to wrestle in the state tournament. Just wondering how many young guys actually make it there. I expect to hear about a lot of light weight guys but I am also curious about all weght classes. :-o

135 Cole Procter for south Oldham is going... (middle school state champ)
He beat Kevin Stewart... something serious! I hear that Northington has given him a really hard time before.
Dat true?
Sean Hamons (103) and Eric Spahr (112) from Campbell County. Both are in the 8th grade.
.
Willy and Cole met in the middle school state tourn and cole won by points. Pretty competetive matches. I think like 7-4 or something like that. Cole is a very good young wrestler. Willy is pretty good for a first year middle schooler as well.
Union Co. school board won't allow middle schoolers to wrestle in high school. It's pretty stupid that all these other schools allow it and ours won't.
Johnson Central has Salyers at 103 he is an eighth grader who won Region 8. They also have a seventh grader JJ Jude at 119 who placed second in region 8 losing to Daniels from wayne county. He actually threw Daniels to his back in the first period and jumped out to a 5 point lead and led most of the match. Daniels came back in the third period to beat him. Salyers and Jude are both middle school state champs.
Thats impressive :-o
kyle terry from central hardin is an eighth grader and will be competing

No. I was there and i'm pretty the sure the score was 4-0 with Northington getting hit with stalling and locking hands. He just wrestled crap off his stomach. He was wrestling bad that whole day. But I still have to give it to Cole. That kid stopped the #4 guy in state from competing in Frankfort this week. AS AN EIGHTH GRADER!!! This kid has big things in his future.
Campbell county has two kids competing at state that are eigth graders. They are the 103 and 112 weight classes.
