Greetings KY Wrestling Community,

I'm Coach Johnson from W.E.B. DuBois Academy in Louisville. We're starting a wrestling program this year because the students want one! More than 25 students have committed and turned in physicals.

We are without a budget, a booster club, or alumni. This year's seniors will be our first graduating class.

Any help in regards to donations and inexpensive offers for mats, headgear, knee pads, shoes, or singlets would be greatly appreciated. I heard they can wear MMA fight shorts and compression shirts now, not my first choice but beggars can't be choosers.

I appreciate the folks who reached out. We were able to get leads on reasonably priced gear, setup a few scrimmages, and get into some tournaments.
