Sweet :-D
that was nice but i think that the 171 state champs was better ( im not sure of his name sorry )
Mason Reid. His was pretty awsome too.
Reid's was nice but he didn't do in the middle of a freakin match!!!! How would someone even come up with that??
A kid did this in the IN state tourn last weekend too, but the opponent Jamal Lawrence held on to the kids foot, not sure how he did but he did and the kid who flipped didnt get any advantage or escape.
I guess we will be seeing more of it!
Its a standing variation of the funk. Its used alot in college matches. The advanced group at the State Champ Camp covers this technique. Nice Video
^^Andy Medders from Cumberland College was the first kid I saw do this. He is one of the best "funk" technicians I've ever encountered. You'd have him in a postion where you felt in control, then all of a sudden he'd do some junk that left you wonderin what just happened. These moves aren't for everyone and I would never show them in the high school room, I'd be afraid someone would get hurt tryin, or get stuck. Go to Andy's camp to learn it!!
i think it was made popular by Carey kolat. he did it his senior year in the Pennsylvania state finals. the videos on utube its under the kolat flip
