leg riders

Topic ID: 2090 | 6 Posts

what is the rule on how long you can ride an opponent with the leg in?  even though the guy riding is trying to score or making it look like he is, it is avery good way to stall!  get up buy 1 or 2 and ride your way to getting your hand raised. does anyone know?

i may be wrong, but i dont think it can be called stalling just because you are riding legs.  so i think the answer to your question is, there is not a time limit on it.  but i agree with you, it's a great way to kill some time on the clock.  i think more appropriately most refs should be quicker to call a stale mate when a guy's riding legs and not doing much to turn a guy.

It can be called stalling when riding legs.  The guy on top is supposed to be making an effort to turn his opponent (judgement call by ref) and it can be called a stalemate if noone is bettering their position.  Repeated calls of stalemates or potentially dangerous(if standing up) can be called stalling on top man.  The man on top is supposed to be trying to turn the bottom guy.

Normally its a stalemate after 15secs

stalling can be called on the top man after 2 or 3 stalemates.  unfortunately in kentucky stalling is the first call most officals make.  the man on bottom should be called for stalling when he brings his arms in and isnt trying to escape.  that call is never made, though it should be.

15 sec's seems like a long time to wait.  Should be more like 10 in my opinion.  Just an opinion though.
