NCAA National Qualifiers

Topic ID: 2124 | 4 Posts

I was looking at the following link and found some interesting things about NCAA National Qualifiers by State: I know that we only have one qualifier from Kentucky but I think you would be surprised at the low numbers of other states and it shows how KY wrestling is growing. 8 states have no qualifiers including South Carolina and Massachusetts. I also found it interesting that New Jersey had 22. All of this said, it is great to see KY represented and with the growth, I am sure we will have more. What are your thoughts.

cmccoy, i think you're right.  watching some of the action at the elementary state, there are some slick little kids coming up.  some of these little guys have some awesome technique!

plee, I have to agree, the future looks bright for KY wrestling.  Especially with guys like Ruschell showing what we ky boys can do.  Not to mention the guys at Cumberland and Campbellsville.  I think Jacob Murton and Brad Cooper would be ncaa qualifiers.

I'm kind of surprised by some of the results.  Pennsylvania leading the way is a little shocking to me.  I also figured Texas and Oklahoma to be a little higher.  Good info though.  I also think the future of Kentucky wrestling looks bright.
