What did Josh Ashbrook place last year? Beacuse i'm pretty positive Brandon Howard was a staterunner-up.

dalton evans is from whitley and hes 13-2 right now, losing twice to travis sullivan and i dont think woodfords 103 has beat sullivan

Howard was state runner up but the opposite side of the bracket was stacked. Their were better wrestlers who placed lower. Howard wasnt second best at that weight last year.

WHO? (besides Smith and Murton) Howard, Banks, Cooper, Ervin and Mines all in top half if memory serves.

State; The only two on the other side were Weston and Smith.

Happy; The highest placer that Howard defeated was 5th.

Howard did however defeat who stepped on the mat in front of him.

It could be argued that there were 2 upsets in the top half. Mines over Banks, and Ervin over Cooper.

In my opinion, not taking anything from Howard, is that Smith was the second best in the wt. class. He lost his last match in typical Eastern style, not giving it his all after not reaching his goal. I also think Banks may have been a bit better than Howard. Weston and Cooper are equal with Howard, he however did not wrestle any of these in the state tourney.

Unfortunately Howard has many doubters, he will hopefully guiet those doubters this year.

On the bottom of the bracket was only Murton and Smith. My side of the bracket had all the good 135's in the State. I might have not have been the second best wrestler but i was in the top 3. Murton, Me and Smith. Yes Banks did defeat me at state duals but matt mines beat him in the state tourn 4-3 and i beat matt mines 5-2. One of teh points he scored was when i took him down i let him back up and i took him back down again. i can' t remeber how the other points were scored. You can't say i had it easy all my matches where decided by just a few points if not just 1 point. :evil:

Ill be more clarical i meant to say that i think Pat Banks could have beat Howard, I think a healthy Matt Mines could have,I think Smith could have, and I think Weston would have beat him if they met. So im saying we was probally the fifth or sixth best kid in the weight class. Im not taking anything from him he did beat everyone who stepped on the mat and congrats for that but i dont see a repeat in his future if he has the same level of competition.

yes those are the results from bourbon county this weekend.

It was actually Mark Goldfarb from PLD that wreslted Sanders in the final at 140.

goodrich beat wells 4-3 wells was up on goodrich 2-0 in the third then goodrich got up for 1 then got 1 stalling point and then was awarded a point for a headbutt that clearly wasnt then both got points on another headbutt great match though

Last year i think that Brandon Howard only lost to 2 people in Ky. Jacob Murton was just to dominate for him. And In the match agianist Pat Banks, Howard got his eye cut down if this had not had happened he could have won the match.I think he will be a strong contender for the State Championship. Also if Sheldon Clark could get enough people to fill there weights they would have a shot at Small School State too. But as of now they are missing at least 4-5 weights. But i think they will all have a good showing this year at state with Coach Workman and Crum.

Well he was pretty much dominated by Ashbrook, he had no answer for anything Ashbrook threw at him. And then he tried to hit Ashbrook and got and unsportsmanlike and an illegal slam. So Ashbrook is the front runner and with a lack of guys at 35 I believe he is the favorite.
