I remember as a senior picking up wrestling and trainning with a team a couple of weeks before state(my schools team started the year but everyone quit-literally all of them). I really only learned the basics and wound up placing 5th in state. That was pretty sweet.
BUT the best moment ever came after wrestling was over for me as a wrestler but had continued as a coach. It was when my team won its first 1st place team trophy at a tournament. It was my first year as head coach when it happened (this past year). In the running was the moment one of my wrestlers made it to the finals at state this year. :-D
So far in my high school career was when i move to kentucky from indiana, and went to practice the first day as a 9th grader and ended up starting at 189 and go to the state tourney for the first time, that was un like anything i've ever seen before.
well just like my bro said (above) it was awsome at state, to see it for the first time and it was an unreal site for me and hope to make it next year!!!!
