I'm not gonna lie. I really don't work out. My bench would probably be around 160-170 on a good day. Before freshman season I maxed out at 220 on bench. Squat probably hits about 220-240 or somethin'.

this has got to be the dumbest thing to talk about wrestling is not about just strength. its mostly mental, technique, and speed

*Max squat- I got between 280-300(im not that good with squats,it hurts my neck for some reason)

Like being bigger stronger flexible and faster will not help you while on the mat.  Not to mention the ability to heal quicker and prevent injuries in the first place.  This is a big misconception....thinking that the weight room is a wrestlers enemy.  Sure you may go up a weight class but you will be a better wrestler in that weight class than you were at the lower one.  If you are not lifting then you are selling your self short.

This is only true if you already have the technique.  If you develop the strength 1st then you rely on the strength and nothing else.  Most of the "muscle heads" that developed strength 1st never develop good technique.

Notice that I said most.

bench: 90

squat: 140

current weight : 116 maybe

yall are all on steroids lol

I personally don't beleive a good benchpress helps in wrestling at aall, coudnt hurt but i dont think it helps.  The lifts that matter are deadlifts, squats, and powercleans. I also believe strong biceps and a strong upper back help alot but you cant really max you can max out on curls or pullups. Just my oppinion

i just feel it helps in the upper weight classes cause they are strong as crap in like 171 and up i feel at least

weight 145ish

bench- 185

squat- at least 260 probably alot more. haven't tried in a while but that is all i do is work on legs. i also play soccer so i have too.
