Like Cooper dominated Flake?????
Hate to see Cooper graduate, that rivalry was a great one. I bet these two would split 50/50 if they wrestled 100 times. Good luck to Flake next year and good luck to Both teams.
The way I see it is Cumberland is rebuilding and Campbellsville is at a nice peak, however it seem Cumberland just reloads year after year.
Who are some incoming and returning standouts for both teams. I know of a few
returners-Campbellsville returners-Cumberlands
133/141-Murton 133 Brooks
141/149-Flake 149/157 Center
157/165-Clemons (a beast) 184 Waller
197-Jackson
He's From Ky and I'd say he's got a reel good shot at making all american pretyy soon
Cumberland will also have a very good 125 wrestling next year
I hear they have a good kid from Michigan around 141 that is really tough?
Yeah so i am currently on Campbellsvilles roster right now, and i would just like to add that we are ranked second in the nation and this will be the forth year Campbellsville University has had a wrestling team.
Lets get a round of applause for coach Franky James!
Thank you.
cumberland...they always have some standout freshmen that come in and thats not including the returners........
You have got to be kidding. You think freshman are coming in to beat Flake, Dave, Jacob, or Jackson? I guess like any freshman they have to prove themselves.
I would say that both teams have some outstanding freshman that will push for a starting spot against some of these guys. Lets not forget these guys were once freshmen as well. Also a redshirt is still considered a freshmen and last year both schools had redshirts at the Patriot open that looked tough.
I have to give the edge to Campbellsville right now because of Cumberlands rebuilding year and the graduation of four out of five AA, but you never know. I think Cumberland will have a great tournament team like always as will Campbellsville. Have to wait and see.
Capmbellsville won last nights match 18-17. It came down to thelast match of the night (157 lb match) with Cumberland winning 17-15 but campbellsville pulled off the decision to win the match 18-17. Looks like the rivarly has heated up and will continue.
