I've heard Letcher Central is possibly open.

Wes Watts is still there, but he is looking for an assistant coach.

I do believe that Wes Watts will be the head coach at Madison Central next year since he lives in Richmond.

What about the assistant from last year.  Jason Walls I think?  Is he not going to apply?

yea he is but i dont know about the school rules, i think caldwell requires a teacher from caldwell county to go with the team to all the matches and tournaments.

Hopkinsville is accepting applications for head wrestling coach on Christian Co.Schools website.

By the way, rumor has it that Wes Watts did leave and Dunbar is looking for both a head and assistant coach.  Honestly I think it's bad form for a coach to leave a team three weeks before the start of practice.  Almost no matter the situation he should have stayed at least through this year.

I have heard multiple rumors concerning our replacement for Scott Lowe

We might have Chris Nikolao, an interested alumni

We might have Cory Alexander, last year's assistant

Or we might have nobody

Letcher County has filled their position. They hired Robert Howard as their head coach.  Coach Howard was with them during their inaugural season and now he is back as head coach. I want to wish him good luck this season and welcome him to region 8.
