Goal Setting Skills

You have to know where you are going so you can know when you get there.  Goal setting is determining exactly what you want to achieve.  Goals provide a direction for implementing a game plan for success.  Goal setting has been proven to help improve performance.

This is great stuff. I drank that kool-aid a long time ago and attribute the success I have enjoyed in my professional life to it.

2 key points. Wite it down and put it somewhere you see it everyday. In your locker, on car the dash, or on the mirror is some places I have used.

Use a calandar. As the goal date nears break it down to days, hours, minutes. This creates the urgencey to complete it on time and not just push the date back.
