Murton makes Semis 13-8
Murton's last win was over Jordan Burroughs of New Jersey, 13-8. Burroughs was a state runner up in NJ last year, which is one of the toughest states in the country. He was ranked 10th in all classes by intermat. Intermat, who is keeping great coverage of the Beast, described Murton as one of the suprises of the tournament and dominating. Murton's next opponent won the Ironman last week. Good luck, Jacob!

Murton lost in first wrestle back 3-2 to a kid from Great Bridge. Now he is in for 5th place against the #1 seed. Tough, tough tourney. Good job Murton.

At this level its all about not making a mistake, or scoring first and hanging on. The top 5-8 kids in all weight classes are great wrestlers and if you had this tournament next weekend you could probably invert the the top 5 or so :?:
Murton placed 6th at the beast. Made it all the way out to the semis before loosing.. Way to go.....Very impressive!!!!We just need eventually to get a few more kids at this level. Murton, Shearer, Ruschell. We are headed in the right direction.
Good job Jacob. I think his first loss was to the person that won the tournament. Supposedly he was winning going into the third 2-0 before giving up points.
