I know that John is looking for a fourth team for a quad :evil:

This team would wrestle John Hardin and North Hardin on the 28th if anyone is interested  :wink:.

I'm pretty sure they will.  They were in the same situation last year with getting a coach late in the game and still pulled it off.  It really is a good tournament and probably the best early season tournament in the state.  Last year Woodford Co., North Hardin and Fern Creek were there and they finished 2nd, 3rd & 4th in the state, not to mention Evansville Reitz who won the tournament.  In addition Trinity and Eastern were also there.  Anyway, if Fairdale somehow doesn't pull it off, I'm sure one of the other Louisivlle schools will pick it up.  It is too good of a tournament to not have.

Wow you guys go to the Mater Dei tournament? Mater Dei is the woodford county of Indiana, good competition there.

I wrestled in the Mater Dei tournament my sophomore year.  It is no joke.  Usually there a quite a few Catholic schools there like Evansville Memorial and Indianapolis Cathedral from Indiana and Pope John Paul from Tennessee.  It is probably the best tournament in Indiana for the entire year.

A few more schools that were there that I just thought of were Father Ryan from Tennessee and St. Paris Graham from Ohio.  Good luck to Fern Creek.

I wrestled in the Mater Dei tournament and it is legit. Union will be attending it again this year, last year they placed 5th (.5 point behind Larue county, Ervin didn't wrestle in it due to coulliflouer ear and I think it was Bank's first tournament). I never heard of St. Paris Graham going or seen them there, I wouldn't think Jordan would bring his team to the mater dei tournament. Reitz, Trinity, Floyd Central Indiana, Memorial, as well as like 15 other indiana schools. Pretty intense tournament. Now that the Creek will be there will make it tougher, Union isn't going to the Christian County tournament to go to Mater Dei.

It looks like a few of the big boys will not be attending the WCI this year.  Any particular reason?  Obviously Fern Creek is looking at some tough out of state competition.  Just wondering if there is a specific reason that others are looking elsewhere.

Please remember, when I said I wrestled in the tournament my sophomore year, that doesn't mean my sophomore year was recent.  This was back in 1992-1993 wrestling season, St. Paris Graham was there and I am not quite sure if Jordan was at Graham H.S. at that time or not.  If he was, he hadn't been coaching there very long.

it is a very tough tourney, i wrestled in it my freshman and sophmore year, but we arent going there this year.
