Dealing with Distractions

Everyone has to deal with distractions in their life.  As a result of the demanding nature of wrestling, there seem to be a lot.  The key is to minimize your distractions so when you hit the mat you are ready.  Unlike most sports, when you compete it is just you.  You cannot call for a substitute when you get tired and you cannot blame your teammate for your match.  That is the great thing about wrestling. 

Going through the school year, you run into a lot of distractions: friends, girlfriends, homework, social gatherings, getting enough rest, practice, work, etc.  The list could go on and on.
