Why not?  A lot of people think he can beat you, take this chance and prove them wrong. :evil:  At the very least, have an exhibition against him, but I would go for what really counts.

Chances are this match won't happen.  It is ashame.  It would have been a good one.  There is more to it than Mark just bumping up.

It won't happen! There is no benefit for either wrestler, except for the challenge, andbeleive me they both will have plenty of that all year. Why risk injury? I'm sure it would be a crowd pleaser, but be sensible, it's very early in the season. Also consider that Mark Jones isn't the one writing this crap. I know him very personally and I know he would not speak of himself in the third person. Derek is an awsome wrestler and young man who has his own journey to look after. Maybe in the summer or in college somewhere.

If things go the way Mark is hoping, then yes. It'd be a great match to watch, that's for sure.

Nickel was 51-6 last year, but I still don't think it will happen.  We shall see tonight.

6-3 Jones it was a good match kinda slow at first but picked up very quickly. both guys wrestled there butts off it was great. good job both of you guys.

It was a great match.  Neither wrestler really had an advantage in terms of strength or quickness.  Believe it or not, Jones was as strong as Nickel and Nickel was as quick as Jones.  They both wrestled fairly well, but Jones came out on top and he deserved the win.  Jones conducted himself very well after the match and was humble and gracious.  Derek made 2 very small minor mistakes that wouldn't have been noticable against a lesser opponent, but Jones took advantage both times.  The score was 4-3 with about 20 seconds remaining and Nickel tried for the desperation lateral.  He stepped too close to the underhook foot and not enough in between Jones' legs, Mark did a nice job of dropping his hips back and away.  Good counter by Jones and he slipped behind as they fell to the mat to get the final takedown and make the score 6-3.  Like I said, it was a very even match and if they were to wrestle again, you couldn't convince me it would be anything else than another toss up.  Congratulations Mark.

I wish I could of seen this match.  Sounds like a good one.  Hopefully these two will both be at the top come late February.  They both deserve it, and this match will just make them better
